Golden orange. So cloudy it's completely opaque. A quarter inch ring of foam evolves from an initially thick foamy head. Mildly spicy wheat aroma. Full, round mouthfeel. Somewhat sour with hints of cloves and banana. Clean finish with some lingering spice.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2003 Love the smell. I get caramel, citrus, honey, ginger, and butter. Medium brown cloudy appearance with off white head. Lightly sweet and acidic. Very nice.

Pale gold color, very hazy. Medium head. Aroma is banana and yeasty. A mild flavored hefe-weizen. Mild malts, some banana and clove flavor. Smooth taste. A touch citrusy. Lively carbonation. Well balanced. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Wow, this is what a hefe. should taste like. It is clean and a rich golden color. It has a nice white frothy head. I had stored this one for a while for no particular reason and the flavor is still impecable. The initial flavor is hoppy with a sweet malty finish. Good beer.

I haven't seen a quality wheat for so damn long. I'm salivating!!! A sawdusty orangish body & an everlasting thin white head. Hints of corn-flakey, yeasty aroma. Creamy and smooth, but a pleasant citrucy tang near the end. I miss good Germans!!!

continues to be the classic. The banana, cloves and spice notes are a thrill for the geek. One of the best dessert beers of all time.

Strong, but pleasant, bannana, yeast and clove aromas. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a thick white head that diminishes quickly. Nice small bubles of carbonation coming up from the bottom. Yeasty up front, bannana and cloves on the slightly spicy finish. Medium-light to the palate. Very drinkable, but a bit too much on the yeasty (or could this be hops) side for me.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This one pours a cloudy, deep golden color with a medium sized white head that lingers. It has a nice yeasty, bubblegum-like aroma with a hint of banana and cloves. The flavor is fruity, with a crisp finish and slight lingering sweetness with yeasty tones. After the disappointing Sierra Nevada wheat, this one has lifted my spirits back up and reaffirmed my belief that the meaning of life is to drink good beer.
