Had this many, many times socially and now finally rating it. It pours a nice orange, gold color with a shrinking fluffy white head. The aroma is softly malty with equal parts banana and clove spice, minor floral notes. The flavor is strong with wheat, mild acidity and starch, banana, clove and light lemon, herbals in the finish. For me, this is pretty much the gold standard for hefeweizen, especially if you can get it fresh and/or on draft. Really nice on a warm spring day.

05.15 best by. Poured from a pint bottle into a weizen glass on 11.24.14. A: Maybe Noble or Hallertau hop smell. Typical Old World beer smell. Wheat, orange, and clove then take over. A: 2 finger head. Opaque orange yeast cloud at the top of the body. The body is see through orange and yellow at the bottom in spots. The yeast cloud is massive. T: Orange, wheat, and lingering sweet clove are dominant. Spicy clove is subtle. P: Watery and smooth as a hef should be. O: This is as good as I remember the first time that I had it. Beer was supposed to taste like adjunct lagers before this one. It was the first beer that opened my eyes to what good beer tasted like. It led me down a path of exploration into other hefs, wits, APAs, porters, stouts, IPAs, and beyond. So, personally, it means a lot. Generally, I think that it’s one of the best hefs in the world. It has a bit more orange flavor than other hefs and is more assertive all around than some.

Translucent yellow haze. Large head with good retention. Malt, wheat, lemon, and alcohol aroma. Full bodied and creamy. Initial taste is robust combination of malt/wheat, but finish presents a wonderfully smooth mixture of lemon, banana and a wee bit of hop. Quite good indeed.

Bottle, 40cl. Pours hazy gold nice white, small-bubbled head, nicely lasting. Scents of typical Hefeweizen, predominantly wheat, some coriander and cloves. Taste is very light mixture of sweetness and soft bitterness. Its gentleless is disturbed by overcarbonation and watery feel. Too flat.

Tried in several times! Last one on the 18/01/2015. One of my favourite Hefeweizen!!!! Quite good. Hazy golden colour with a nice smooth medium white head. Aroma of citrus, banana and malts. Taste is sweet and smooth with presence of banana. Next one please!

Aromat przyjemnie słodowy, pszeniczny, lekko chlebowy. Barwa jasnobursztynowa, mętne, spore wysycenie. Piana wysoka, średnio i drobno pęcherzykowa. W smaku bez fajerwerków, ale bardzo klasycznie, pszeniczne, chlebowo i smacznie. Bardzo pijalne. Średnia goryczka.
