For being such a common beer, this is a suprisingly good Hefeweizen and beats many of the more rare German imports. If it had a tad more body and complexity, this would rank as one of my favorites.

Can. Colour...lightly hazy, light amber with a massively frothy, pillowy white head. Nose...light spice especially clove and allspice, butyl esters, and dusty banana. Palate...I imagine it’d be all too redundant to day that this is a "classic" for its style! Light CO2, which is surprising given the immensely frothy head! There’s plenty of yeasty goodness here as well as the quintessential banana, spice and bubble gum trio. The finish is rather long and leans towards banana Laffy Taffy, which ain’t a bad thang! Zehr gut!!

Classic taste - recognizable from the first gulp. Tried it from tap, in the bottle, in the 5L keg.

Notes from Family Hefe Tasting. Pours an unclear orange with a white head. Little lace. Aroma has bananas and spices. A bit of fruit. Taste is fruity with bananas and spices. 13.6. Shrug. This was the winner of the tasting, and almost unanimously, beating Weihenstephaner and Franziskaner.

Can from local supermarket. Pours hazy light amber with medium, off-white creamy head. Aroma is banana, apple, ripe tropical fruits, bit of vanilla. A bit of sourness first, quickly replaced with a nice full-bodied sweetness. Sweet finish, virtually no bitterness.

Drank from a bottle at a friend’s balcony. Fruity and fresh, a good but basic weißbier.

Cloudy, light brown color with nice head. Aroma has yeast, wheat malt and a bit banana. Medium body. Taste has sweetness and sourness balanced. Wheat taste with a hits of banana, citrus, toffee. Excellent straightforward summer hefeweizen.
