What a nice sound when you pour this beer to glass. The appearance in the glass is so fine and inviting that it is a pity to taste it and break this nice sight. Everything in this beer is high quality, tastes, aroma and palate. Only one thing is not good - the beer could be a little bit more "creamy" - it is actually a little bit watery.

Medium gold pour, creamy thick white head. Nose is banana, light clove, and yeast. Bittersweet. Middle is soft fruit and creamy wheat malt. Finish is yeasty and slightly dry.

I've been enjoying a lot of weheinstephaner Hefe recently, figured I'd give Paulaner a try too. This is a close second, a very flavorful if less complex example of the style. To begin, this pours a flawless appearance, a nice hazy orange color with good lacing, also a full long-lasting natural head, impressive, aroma is pleasant too, more wheat/malt than orange/banana notes, I prefer that. Taste is good, more malty wheaty base, less fruity freshness. Something that appetizingly tastes like apples. Finish is ok but something is off, kind of sour I think. Still very good overall, I would purchase again. Wehein.. wins in this style category, while I prefer Paulaner in the dopplebock category.

500ml bottle [eins geht noch rein]. Hazy amber colour with huge, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Wheaty and yeasty aroma, herbal hoppy overtones, slightly bready, a touch of apple. Taste is minimally sweat malty, slightly bready, some roast apple, herbal hoppy overtones. For a long time not much yeast action, slightly dull and muffled; later a bit more peppery spicy in well balance with the bready touch. Lacks a bit of the refreshing character typical for a Weizen.

Cor âmbar clara com tons de mel e turva; espuma branca de alta formação e persistência de uma camada de aproximadamente 3mm, quase sem lacing; Aroma de pão, banana e cravo; Sabor de início de pão com final de banana e cravo, levemente amargo; retrogosto de leve dulçor e cravo; Corpo leve e carbonatação de média para alta;

Featured as seasonal draft at Cafe Navona in Rockaway. Nice golden hazy complexion. Traditional flavor includes banana and fresh yeast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I love this style. And I love that a beer of 5.5% can kick out the flavours of some of its stronger cousins. Lovely hazy orange with small white head and decent lacing. On the watery side of medium bodied, but enough carbonation and creaminess to make it a pleasure on the palate. Banana and clove, of course. A bit too sweet at the end perhaps, otherwise great.
