Has the refreshing fruitiness of wheat, with the rich flavor and color of caramelized barley.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a large off-white head. Aroma of fruity toffee with a wheaty/ citrus tang, cloves, nutmeg, white pepper. Not all that sweet with just a mild toastiness indicating that it’s a darker beer. That sets off rather than obscures the bready texture and wheaty/ citrus tang. Drying, spicy finish. Not mega complicated, but very nicely balanced.

Pours hazy brown with a large, lasting head. Nose shows lots of doughy wheat, caramelised bananas and spicy phenols. Similar flavours, mainly doughy wheat with soft toasty malt also joining in. Quite light, very easy to drink. Carbonation is moderately high, which suits the flavours well.

0.5L bottle. Hazy brown with a reddish glow, topped by a dense yellow-blond head. Fruity esters with a soft and lightly toasted malt aroma. Smooth and silky in the mouth. Light sweet and rounded wheaty malt flavor. Notes of bakery and yellow fruits. Soft, prickling carbonation. Supersmooth and harmonious, high drinkability.

500 ml bottle. Dark brown with amber hues. Coarse light beige to brown head. Bread and banana with hints of vanilla. Soft wheaty texture. Lively carbonation. Some residual sweetness cuts through the carbonation. Overall a nicely balanced beer. Surprisingly light in colour for a dunkelweizen. Very drinkable nonetheless.

0.5L bottle in Berlin. Smells of toasted malt, bread, and wheat. Tastes strongly of wheat and roasted malt with hints of toffee, caramel, and spice, and slight bitterness. Also a slight hint of banana. Quite enjoyable with a fresh, crisp feel.

@ brewpub. Too muddy looking but the head lasts. Clean aroma with great malt character. Yeasty palate. Very clean flavors with subtle carob and banana flavors. Impressive.

A - hazy orange with gold tones with very good and nice head S - bananas, yeast, ananas, dark bread T - nice taste of dark bread, banana (especially banana juice), citruses, earthiness, herbs and nice and light end M - low to medium carbonation with medium body D - very very drinkable.. the taste of bread makes it heavy, however the banana and citruses makes it fresh and easy and it has not so high ABV, so very drinkable

Mia moglie è innamorata delle dunkelweizen, e io dove le trovo gliele compro ma a me piacciono appena, anche se questa è un pò meglio di altre...
