3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Eye: Pours a murky light brown color with a nice lasting white head and medium carbonation.
Nose: whole wheat bread and yeast. Dark fruits
Mouth: sweets, dried plums, sweet licorice and toffee malts
Palate: ripe banana and a bit metallic at first, nuts and dough in the end. perhaps raisins and porridge.
Overall: a nice somewhat dry Weizen. The taste unfortunately can’t keep up with the very good aroma.

Draught sample at BEERS 2015, Tel Aviv. Cloudy brown with beige head. Aroma of wheat and sausage with some spiciness. The flavor has notes of wheat and ash, some roastiness and spiciness, notes of banana and pickles, light sourness. Lively carbonation, medium-bodied. Nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught sample at Beers 2015. Dark brown with beige head. Aroma and flavors of dark malt, banana, strong clove, some wheat and yeast flavors. Very light sweetness, some acidity. Mouth feel is very thick and creamy. OK. I like it better than it’s more common pale sister.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A classic. Appearance is dark brown with creamy white head and visible sediments. Aroma of caramel as well as the taste, well mixed with its malty body. A good classic til Heineken destroys it!

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours reddish brown with some foam. Aroma suggests faint caramel, sweetners, yeast, malt. Taste doesn’t differ much. It’s got very little character in my opinion, and tastes very waterish. I hope it’s just a bad bottle. I’ll think I’ll be sticking to dunkels from Weihenstephaner - they are excellent.
