tmoreau (1342) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2012
On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL., and served to a tall weizen glass with a hazed to cloudy, orange/golden hue, substantial white fluff to the head, and lasting, clingy strands & spots of lacing. The aroma was light wheat, soft banana & clove, citrus, and a hint of vanilla. The flavor offered similar notes, with a little tartness, light to medium body, but milder effervescence and softer carbonation than the style demands. Otherwise, very tasty!

bunget (132) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 10, 2012
330ml bottle. Cloudy orange body with a good big fluffy white head. Aroma of coriander, banana, grassy hops, yeast, apricot. Taste is almost too light, a touch of sourness, yeast, banana, spices, a shy attempt of bitterness. Got the impression it’s too watery.

Excellent hefe. The nose is banana, spice, and just a jint of bubble gum. The beer is hazy orange with a big pillowy white head. The taste is banana and spice. The body is medium with nice carbonation and a refreshing crispness.

Bottle from local Yamaya. Strong banana, yeast, and creamy fruity aromas. Cloudy, dusky orange-brown with a solid one-inch head -- a real beauty. Light fruitiness, touch of sweetness, and a very mild aftertaste. Medium body, goes down so smoothly. Very refreshing. A well-made wheat and a pleasure to drink.

May 2009: You will never know how pleased I was to find this beer in a small supermarket on the holiday island of Skiathos (Greece). It was the beer highlight of the holiday. I only had two half-pint tumblers in my Studio, so that is what the half-litre brown bottle was poured into. The welcoming murky, dirty, cloudy body just oozed Hefeweizen at me. Bananas and vanilla esters attacked my nose as the sun beat down onto my puny white body, great. Spritzy, tangy and those banana and vanilla smells carry on into the taste. Full flavours stay well after the beer has left the mouth, this is a good, good beer. Really enjoyed it.

Sweet Orange-peel, yeasty, wheaty nose. Tangerine gold with huge thick white head. Good amount of carbonation. Smooth, creamy palate dominated by tropical fruit, orange, pineapple and hint of citrus. A pleasant, sweet, hot summer night type of beverage.
