It’s quite bubbly, has a light mouthfeel, and has a fruity nose. Don’t let the fruity thing discourage you; it doesn’t have stupid flavoring like you see in ML/BL Lime beers or in Lienkugels (sp?). Great if you’re going to a semi-fancy event where there aren’t a lot of "serious" beer drinkers, even though they ought to appreciate it too. It shows that beer can have flavor without being too heavy or intense. Not exactly a beer for a night of hard drinking with the guys, but perfect for one or two on a warm afternoon with mixed company. FatguyRacer (130), Crownsville, Maryland, USA

Pours a translucent golden amber with a thick white head that lingers and leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Nice yeasty aroma with hints of citris and banana. Mouth feel and taste are outstanding. Light, refreshing and not over done with citrius like lesser hefes. If it werent for the price of a six, this would be my top choice for an every day hefe. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

Nice light, crisp aroma of wheat, yeast, and cloves. Flavor is slightly sweet, bananas, some citrus, and wheat. Very refreshing durhambeer (1200), Durham, USA

Anyway - pours a beautiful hazy medium yellow with a huge frothy white head with great lacing and lots of active streaming bubbles - perfect. Very nice yeasty, dry, some citrus, lemon, hint of banana aroma. Taste - bang on style again - full flavoured, full bodied yet very refreshing, drinkable, and perfectly carbonated. Tangy citrus, yeast, lemon in taste - maybe just a little more here would get it perfect marks if I was being extremely picky and is finished a little short for me. But really, this is as good as a Hefe as you are likely to find from the bottle - I’d put it second only to Dennison’s on tap here in Toronto. A nice discovery. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

I think i smelled a little squash as well. Lively fruit character, sweet and inviting. a friendly brew all around. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2008 Very, very similar to Hacker-Pschorr’s hefeweizen. That is not a bad thing, as I really love Hacker-Pschorr’s. Most people tend to prefer Franziskaner over Paulaner or Hacker-Pschorr, however, I don’t. Both HP and Paulaner have a fruity, more tropical feel to them. Slightly banana-esque, easy to drink, shocks the taste buds. Classic cloudy golden hefeweizen hue. I’d have to drink this and Hacker-Pschorr right next to each other in order to really document the difference in flavor, but one thing I noticed was that this didn’t have the same overpowering, lovely flowery aroma that Hacker-Pschorr had- it was comparitively weak. Very good hefeweizen, you can’t go wrong with either this or Hacker-Pschorr. EnSiFeRuM (501), Quebec, Canada
