nice Weizen beer. 50CL bottle, full body, sticky, lively, astringent. Light bitter, a nice weizen.

Paulaner sets the bar for all other Hefeweizens with the quality and taste brewed in this beer. A little higher in alcohol, with full body, light bitterness and drinkability.

...one of the best bottled Hefe’s. Great yeast sediment in bottle, that truly must be there for ultimate flavor. Pours a cloudy goldish orange, with a decent white head that lasts, and lively carbonation. Strong hints of fruitiness, clove, and candy, blended with balance to the wheat malt. Has a great creamy consistancy, very flavorful. Citrus notes there too, with a nice creamy finish and lingering wheat flavors. If you like Hefe’s, you must try this bad-assed beer. I want to find it on draft, but havn’t had any luck. -_-

A very very good Hef. To me, one of the best available in the US for sure. I really enjoy its flavors - light, crisp, fruity, slighty sweet, with hints of orange and lemon. Nice carbonation. Should be poured out of bottle for true enjoyment, as with most hefs.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden yellow with a beautiful thick, creamy white head. Aroma and taste of wheat, citrus, banana, spices- your typical hefeweizen. Smooth to drink, very carbonated, light-bodied taste. An excellent hefeweizen, although not my favorite of the style. Still, I love my hefes!
Update 6/13/08: On tap at local bar. I don’t know if the keg was fresh, but this draught version was not as good as the bottle version I had. Spices were less pronounced and it was less flavorful in general. Flat too. I won’t change my rating and hopefully can get a better tap version of this.

Poured from bottle into Weizen glass. Cloudy golden honey color with large white head. Bready aroma, also cloves. Didn’t notice the banana, will try and pick this up next time. Flavor typical of a wheat beer, nice citrusy crispness. Nice mouthfeel, made you want to drink more. Overall a very decent hefe.

One of the better hefs out there. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a cremy head. Strong fruity aroma of banana and some citrus. A very full smooth and creamy mouthfeel for a hefeweizen. Fruit flavor is strong, but not overpowering. This is a good beer year ’round, but is one of my favorite summer beers.

Pours a nice, creamy head. Nose has a noticeable banana aroma with a hint of citrus. The flavor is pretty consistent with the good German hefes with definite cloves and perhaps a little coriander. Especially like the 5L mini kegs- kind of hard to find, but worth the search. This is one of the best examples that i’ve tasted of this type; therefore, tends to disappear rather quickly when my hefe-drinking buddy pays a visit.
