pumpmaster (474), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Jan 5, 2008 17 ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine Fort Lauderdale, FL for $2.29 Very good! TheRimmer (483), Florida, USA Jan 5, 2008 Heavily spicy, pepper nose with cloves and yeast. Deep cloudy yellow color. Taste was cloves, some banana, a nice mouthful of spice. Finishes yeasty and spicy. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Jan 2, 2008 Has a sweet fruity taste. Definitely liked it buy probably wouldn’t search out and buy again. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jan 1, 2008 Pours nice with a fine head. Taste fruity with lots of carbonation, but the taste didn’t last very long. Not one of my favorites though. Sticks73 (28), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 1, 2008 Bottle. Poured to a golden apricot color with a quickly disappearing fluffy white head. Very Little fizz. Medium Body, very light sryupy consistency. Sweet honey & wheat aroma. Quick beginning, no fizz strong poppy middle wheat & slightly sweet taste. Fast & sharp end. Little fizz in aftertaste & slight wheat aftertaste. Wheat & sweet malts but not overpowering. Clean, crisp, & sharp mild flavors. hillfiiiiire (283), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Dec 30, 2007 Was a nice cloudy yellow color with a moderate white head that ultimately dissipated. It had a fruity, banana aroma with a hint of sweet malts. The flavor was mostly from the sweet malts and ended with an almost unnoticeable bitter and sour taste. It was pleasantly smooth and easy to drink. Could happily drink all day long. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Dec 30, 2007 Pours a cloudy honey color, with a dense white head of very small bubbles.
Smells sweet of malt and other grains. Smells are dry. Tastes sweet, lots of grains and malt. Nice and crisp, a great Hefeweizen. Crisp, thin palate, with good carbonation. This is a classic, drink it all day, on the beach or wherever. Lemon or no. This is a good choice for a Hefe. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Dec 30, 2007 Bottle. Pours deep amber with hazy swirls when held to the light, moderate off-white head, quickly dissapating, leaving lacing. Hearty grain dominates the aroma along with doughy yeast smells and a slight bit of spicy citrus - lemon or orange peel. Flavor is bready grain flavors, then a bit of lively sourness, followed by a light bitterness in the cheeks, finishes clean with a citrusy aftertaste . Mouthfeel is full-bodied, quite creamy and textured.
