The nose is very typical for the style (relying on my limited exposure to this style). The flavor is also typical with a nice citrus/fruit note. The mouth-feel is a little fizzy for me. But the real problem lies in the weird finish.
Despite the finish, beer is fantastic. Fratto (691), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Bottle 330ml 5.5%. Poured muddy golden orange with a large, white, creamy head which lasted amazingly. Strong notes of clove and ripe banana’s in the aroma with notes of sweet yeasty malts, lemon zest, orange citrus and light notes of ginger. Flavor was very smooth with a very mild bitterness, creamy vanilla, sweet sour dough, dried banana, ripe pears, cloves, cinnamon and a crisp/dry finish. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, watery texture and a good length finish. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 15, 2009 500. Pours a murky medium toffeeish amber. Creamy white head and plenty of it. Decently powerful banana nose. Creamy medium body showing banana but not a heck of a lot of clove. Mild finish. A very understated and somewhat refreshing beer. Parket (241), Bruges, Belgium
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2009 from tap in Montpellier, yellow colour and white head. Malty and grainy smell like the taste: also fruity and a light bitterness with sweetness. A decent beer but I don’t know why it’s rated so high. It has no complexityl. jmulv (82), Rensselaer, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Pours a yellowish brown, small white head, smells like yeast and wheat. Tastes a lot like yeast and wheat too, some citrus notes as well. All in all, a pretty solid hefeweissen - drink it and you won’t go wrong. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy, dirty-yellow, not quite orange. Medium white head that is quite persistent, nice lacing. Nose is clove, coriander, citrus, bananas, and yeast. Palate is very fresh and clean, not overdone on the banana side, which is nice. Flavors of yeast, wheat, bananas, spice, oranges. Not the most complex Hefe, but very classic and surprisingly well-done for a broadly distributed beer. BeerChaser0078 (318), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is fairly wheaty, with notes of citrus, honey and vanilla. Flavour is also rather grainy with hints of tropical fruit, pepper, citrus(lemon) and yeast. Palate is dry and light bodied, a little watery but still very enjoyable. I never get sick of this beer.
