Smells sweet of malt and other grains. Smells are dry. Tastes sweet, lots of grains and malt. Nice and crisp, a great Hefeweizen. Crisp, thin palate, with good carbonation. This is a classic, drink it all day, on the beach or wherever. Lemon or no. This is a good choice for a Hefe. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA

Pours deep amber with hazy swirls when held to the light, moderate off-white head, quickly dissapating, leaving lacing. Hearty grain dominates the aroma along with doughy yeast smells and a slight bit of spicy citrus - lemon or orange peel. Flavor is bready grain flavors, then a bit of lively sourness, followed by a light bitterness in the cheeks, finishes clean with a citrusy aftertaste . Mouthfeel is full-bodied, quite creamy and textured. xibalba89 (147), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Pours orange with a nice head. Aroma has floral hops and wheat, with some maltiness coming through. Flavor is heavier on the malt side, which I liked. The banana that others have mentioned played a part, but the malts have the upper hand here. A well-crafted and consistent beer that I’ll come back to. yespr (12019), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Mild fruity and wheaty aroma. Flavour starts sweet with a soft banana fruity note, not so much bubblegum in this. Mild wheaty flavour and creamy texture. Mild bitterness in the finish which also holds a lingering wheat note. davidpl (435), Santiago, Chile

Nice banana notes to it....Great mouth feel but really didn’t impress me. Nice color and aroma as well as good head retention. I did brew a clone...Almost...I added more to the malt bill for a higher gravity and used an American Heff. liqued yeast.....Now that one impressed me!!!! I just thought it needed more of a clove note to it.
