Pours a murkey pale orange with a small diminishing white head. No lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and spices. Feels full but still light and refreshing. The taste isn’t overfruity like other wheats I’ve had, which is nice. Flavour is citrusy fruit and yeast and ends on a warmer note of banana. Might buy again, Might not. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 3, 2007 I can’t figure out which is my favorite summer beer, this or Hoegaarden. But there’s nothing I like better on a warm summer afternoon than to sit outside at a beer garden and work my leisurely way through several of these with lemon. When they don’t have this or Hoegaarden, I’m kind of annoyed because it’s all I want. Hanging out and talking to friends, drinking these, it just yields a perma-grin. I imagine the purists scoff at the lemon, but it just came with it the first time I ordered it and it was great. So refreshing. And the lemon seeds rise up and down in it as the bubbles form and pop. This is a thirst-quenching beer with excellent fresh flavor. And yet it’s somehow also just a bit warm in the throat, inside or simultaneous with the chill. Really this review is fungible with Hoegaarden so I’ll post the same thing there. douglas88 (1583), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a strong white head. The taste is yeast, banana, some citrus and a light hop. The body is what makes it really nice; it’s thicker than other Hefes and quite good. A good drink overall. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden hue with a nice white head. The aroma has more hints of apples and caramel than I usually expect from the style. Clove and banana are present as well, but hide behind some of the maltier scents. The flavor is mildly sweet without much dryness. I get hints of apples, honey, cloves, garlic butter, and banana. This is all right. It’s an easy drinker and great for a session, but lacks the more extensive depth and complexity that can be found in the finest of hefeweizens. latneyblunk (40), Kentucky, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Smells of clove and nice wheat aromas. Pours cloudy orange/yellow with the yeast suspended. Tastes of wonderful spicy wheat and a little butter flavor from the malt which is nice. Finishes suprisingly clean after all the complexity. A brilliant example of a weizen that should serve as a control for rating other Hefe-Weizens. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Pours orange gold colour, almost like light orange juice, and almost as cloudy. Thin slightly offwhite head. Nose is bananas, spice, and yeast. The taste is spectacularly complex, clove, nutmeg and floral fruit with a nice banana finish. Very good beer, just finished my 6 pack, gonna go buy another!
