Paulaner Hefeweissbier

A hazy golden pour with a nice head. The aroma is mainly wheat with banana and citrus notes. The flavor matches the aroma with a strong wheat flavor and banana throughout; some clove notes as well--the finish is quite sour for this style. The carbonation is soft and complements the smooth taste. Overall, one of the better wheat beers around--great for summer.

Orange body that is very cloady with a small creamy head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Flavor of mostly banana and citrus, wheaty aftertaste. Very much citrus still balanced. Palate is thin and smoth and little syrupy.

50cl bottle in Munich. Rather surpising for a mass produced hefe. Nice appearance and notes of citrus.

A very enjoyable Hefe. Poured golden brown with nice puffy head. Smell and taste was banana with a touch of lemon. Clove taste also noticeable. In my book, not as good as Weihenstephaner...but my beer hating wife took THREE sips of this beer and said, "I could drink this." So, this will reappear in my fridge for certain. :)

Amber brew, big foamy head. Strong fresh light fruit and wheaty grain aroma. Cloves and pear flavor combination. Very nice. Semi dry, smooth, small warmth.

Hazy golden colour foamy white head. Citrus and banana in aroma and taste. Flavour has also some coriander and cloves. Very smooth body, not too much carbonation. Nice mouthfeeling. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold, off white head. Aroma is citrus, bananas, coriander, sour dough. Flavor is the same and wheaty.

Excellent Hefeweizen. Wheat, Citrus and bananas are evident in aroma and taste. Medium body. Carbonation is right making it crisp. Good and balanced.
