Cyrio (16), USA Aug 4, 2007 A good tasting beer. I typically don’t enjoy Hef but this is the best i’ve had. I probably won’t buy again though. downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Aug 4, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy gold with a strong white head. Decent aroma of cloves, bananas, mace and citrus. Flavour was banana packed with more spice and citrus fruit. Very refreshing. gotohelunc (473), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. Nice spicy orange and lemon aroma over an orange colored beer with a quickly forming and long lasting white head. The flavor is exactly what I’d expect and want out of a hefe...orange, banana, and tang with a bit of spice. Not quite enough hops or malt shining though to be my perfect hefe, but a good one and I’d certainly love to drink it again on a hot day. Very refreshing. Teek (5), USA does not count Aug 3, 2007 Orange/amber in color with a tangy apple fruit taste. great tasting and refreshing tagz (334), USA Jul 31, 2007 draft. cloudy orange, brown. almost looks like an unfiltered cider. tart apple taste with a light yeast aroma & flavor. a thick and fruity hefe. i haven’t tasted anything like it to date. very drinkable. the only downside was that the sediment and heavy sugars left me moaning in bed for the better part of the next morning. its a fantastic beer, but not a good one to end a session on. ;) bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jul 30, 2007 Daft. Hazy orange-amber with an off-white head. Nice banana-clove aroma with lots of yeasy spiciness. Flavor not as strong as the aroma, but still has clove/banana and some wheat (not too much) and fruit. Medium body. Easy drinking. LIngering spiciness and fruit. McGarnigle (303), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 28, 2007 I tried a bottle of this earlier this summer, and it was way too fizzy and tasted awful. Bad bottle. This one was dated 11/06 and was great.
Nearly opaque yellow/orange color, cushy white head. Very creamy texture. Taste is fruity, but also seems to have a bit of spice. Refreshing, although it has some substance to it as well. Top notch Hefe. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA Jul 28, 2007 Paulaner puts out a solid hefeweizen, probably the best that’s readily available at most liquor stores. It’s got such a heavy citrus taste that there’s really no need to serve it with an orange/lemon slice (I don’t know why a lot of bars do that). Anyways, despite the thickness of the yeast, it’s a really refreshing, hot weather beer.
