Paulaner Hefeweissbier

A dark yellow beer with a beutiful head. It has a typical wheatbeer aroma of yeast and fruit. The taste is slightly sour caracteristic of beers brewed on malted wheat. The flavor also contains yeast and a bit citrus - but almost non bitterness. A good wheat beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, yellowish golden with a surprisingly small head. Lacks the yeasty, fruity nose normal for the style. Some yeast in the flavour, but not very pronounced. Rather dry with only hints of sweetness and an absent bitterness. Surprisingly bland for Paulaner that usually guarantees higher quality. 191099

Canned at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok. Muddy golden, lively creamy head. Evident papery banana aroma. Sweetish with soft mouthfeel - perhaps a bit mellow. A fair amount of esters and a solid body makes for a pretty good standard weizen.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense light off-white head. Mild fruity and wheaty aroma. Flavour starts sweet with a soft banana fruity note, not so much bubblegum in this. Mild wheaty flavour and creamy texture. Mild bitterness in the finish which also holds a lingering wheat note.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with an above average head. Good banana and vanilla nose. Flavours start sweet and fruity, gradually developing spicier and drier. Quite sparkling with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, nice white foamy head. Sweet fruity aroma with hints of yeast. Fruit, yeast and some spices in flavour. Also hints of sweet malts and gets a bit caramellish in fnish. Creamy mouthfeel while drinking. Citrus in aftertaste. Pleasant one.

Bottle. Dusty, clovy aroma. Hazy golden colour, big creamy white head. Nice soft mouthfeel. Flavour has a hint of clove, slightly watery. Aftertaste is very mild.
