Rich, deep golden orange/amber color. Huge head. Very cloudy. Faint fruity aroma, citrus, banana,
Rich, austere flavor. Big wheat malt and banana, spicy, sweet but mildly so, nice bitterness, little sour or fruit. Excellent balance. Mature tasting, something slightly funky going on. Rich malts all the way. Medium to better body. This is great even from the bottle in Japan. I know it was better on draught in Munich, but alas, no ratings survive!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2004 Very nice orange-gold cloudy body with a dense bulky head. Wonderful fruity (orange, banana) and lightly spiced aroma with some pleasant bubblegum notes. Taste is sweet, refreshing and well balanced. It ends with a fair bittersweet yeasty final. Good example of Bavarian Hefeweizen. Strykzone (1507), Wood River, Illinois, USA

More sweetness than anything. Considerable head that departed eventually. Really no negatives to it. Nice beer. SuIIy (1504), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
