Draught: Cloudy, golden, medium-sized lacy head; malty - almost slightly caramelly - nose with some unmalted barley, fruits, yeast and hops underneath; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied, soft; lingering, drier, yeasty-hoppy finish. Well drinkable Zwickel....

Muggus69 (854) - Newcastle, NSW, AUSTRALIA - JUN 24, 2010
Draught at Paulaner brewpub Hazy orange sort of body, white foam doesn’t hang around too long. Spicy, somewhat phenolic aroma; pepper, citrus peel, pilsner malt, bready crust, yeasty twang. Medium body, subdued carbonation, smooth unfiltered texture. Upfront the beer resembles a helles, some nice pale malt flavours and floral hops, but you get notes of peppery phenolics, dried fruit esters and slightly marzipan-like autolysis that seems more in place in a Belgian blond than German lager. Very different, quite enjoyable and drinkable too.

Bart (2332) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 26, 2010
Draught at Paulaner Nockherberger. Hazy darker blond coloured beer with no carbonation and a small white head, balanced aroma with touched of fruits and yeast and some light malty hints. Full palate. Finish is little bitter fruity and hoppy hinted with some light yeasty finishing touches. A nice keller beer.

JorisPPattyn (6428) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2009
Draught Shining, if cloudy orange beer with fine pearling to good, irregular off-white head. Light sourish, fruity & yeasty, esters (for a bottom-fermented beer!). Very balanced flavours; sweet, sourish and bitterish, with always fruity notes. Clean, despite the esters. Nutmeg retronasal. Medium bodied, slick, but refreshing. Really EXCELLENT Kellerbier - more than worth the climb to the hilltop. Amazing Paulaner can turn out such superb sample, whilst their alter-ego Hacker-Pschorr excells in totally fade beers.

(7/4/08) Draught at Paulanerkeller am Nockherberg in Munich. Cloudy orange color with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, a bit of yeast, some citrusy hints and some hops. Flavor begins a bit sweetish with citrus notes and turns bitter with a long hoppy and grassy finish. Medium-bodied. A really good Kellerbier.
