2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark golden in color, clear with white average top. Flavor is a bit astringent lagerbier with more malt profile, seems like dark caramel mix with toasted malt, but without caramel in flavor. Hops are far, far away, not even in aftertaste. Some sour touch in taste. Medium bodied, watery and not thick. In few words - darker malts lager, nothing to retry.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle to New Belgium tulip.
A: Orange and ruby. Excellent clarity. Low-carb appearance with no head and only sporadic bubbles/ribbons.
S: Sweet and malty. Roasty.
T: Toasted oatmeal is the dominant flavor of profile.
M: Fuller body for a marzen style. Low carbonation allows for fuller attention to flavor profile.
D: This isa nice Marzen. A classic and great session beer for early fall. Hot days followed by cool nights.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Clear golden/pale, minimal white head. Couldn’t sense much aroma, since I have a slight nasal congestion ATM. Slightly bitter. Average carbonation. A bit too watered down for my liking. Definitely a drinkable beer, though overrated.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From bottle. Gold pour. Little bit of white head. No retention or lacing. Nose is grainy with some skunk. Lots of carbonation. A little old-tasting. Passable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear, golden yellow beer with a thin white head on top. Aroma is rather yeasty and malty, nothing more actually. Flavour is medium bitter with some slight hoppy aftertaste. Big lager influences making it a kind of bland and mellow. Very easy sessionable, but not much special

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml bottle into dimpled mug, best before 5/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of bread, toast, cracker, honey, pear, apple, light caramel, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of malt, yeast ester, and hop notes; with good strength. Taste of bread, toast, cracker, pear, apple, honey, light caramel, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of bread, toast, cracker, pear, apple, honey, light caramel, light pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Damn nice balance and robustness of malt and yeast ester flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest style. All around great balance and robustness of malt and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
