Can, 0.5l. Pours clear, pale golden color with small white head that disappears quickly. Smell is malts and yeast with some hops and caramel in the background. Thin to medium body with higher carbonation. Creamy texture on the tongue. Taste is pleasantly bitter. Aroma of malts, yeast and a bit of caramel. Grassy mouthfeel with alcohol dominated aftertaste. Dry finish. Overall, not bad but nothing special either.

Originally rated on 5/30/08. I had the privilige of drinking this at oktoberfest in Munich a few years ago. It was the first beer of that day at 10:00 am, what a way to kickoff! A delicious full bodied beer loaded with creamy caramel malts, the initial sweetness gives way to a slight hop bite finish. A very good marzen. I have it a few times over here in bottled form, while pretty good it isnt the same. is it ever? It is worth a try. In bottled form i would rate it around a 3.4/ 3.5

1 litre can Paulaner Wiesn Bier packaged with original dimpled glass purchased in Germany. Pours hazy gold with medium creamy head. Aroma buttered pretzels and fresh barnyard yeast. Taste medium sweet. Palate oily feel, average carbonation, long finish, full body. Good beer to sip by a fire. One satisfies, which is a good thing at 6% ABV. One of the better Oktoberfest beers.

Sulfury minerally aroma with spicy noble hop. Smells like a Pilsner Pours a light golden color with great clarity and small wispy white head Malty flavor of bread and biscuit with balanced amount of spicy hop character. Light to medium bodied with high prickly co2, quick finish. I could drink many of these at a festival. Taste good and goes down easy. Highly quaffable. Non offensive and well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden with an average frothy head. Aroma is malty and light grassy-hoppy. Flavour is also malty, bread, with a hint of toasted grain just before the light hoppy finish. Lager, evem Marzen is not my type of beer, and this one better for a hot summer day than a wet Oktober.

11.2 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Best Before: 06/16 (L18151G)

Appearance: Pours a light pale golden body, just a bit hazy and topped off with a thin, thin white head that quickly fades out of sight.

Smell: Sugary, sweetly smelling of grains with a splash of low-grade cider for a hint of apple and a faint grassy whiff of the hops within.

Taste: Cereal sweet, grainy flavor with a bit of sulphury character to it and hint of raw dough. A sugary apple, cidery taste follows with a little hit of spice and only the slightest bitterness. Honestly, this isn’t what I was expecting at all, it’s a little like a malt liquor. A little grassiness on the sweetish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: Haven’t had it? You’re not missing much. This is no way for me to be spending Christmas ’15!

Draught. Pours clear golden with white head. Bready and malty with more caramel than normal pils beer. Medium body, high carbonation. Finish is medium to low bitter, herbal. Ok
