Tap at Heidi´s Bierbar Århus. Beer of The month october2008. Dark yellow but still far from amber colour, with a nice white foam. Aroma and taste of malts, bread, a bit caramel, hops and straw. Fresh mouthfeel but a bit short finish. Very drinkable all year around.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. Pale golden and crystal clear. Medium-sized white head. Floral hop aroma with a rounded malty background. Feels very clean. Richer malty flavours with a texture that feels somewhat oily and thick. The background is sharply bitter, but not overpowering. Mouth is left in a dry, lightly puckering, state after swallowing. Feels a little like a really strong pilsener. Not particularly interesting.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Colden colour, big to medium sized white head. Nice aroma of fruity German hops and sweetish malts. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty but still smooth and easy drinking, with decent hops in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a very suitable beer for the Oktoberfest if you are in Munich during the actual fortnight. Very drinkable, but in no way a fancy beer for connoisseurs. But what the heck, its made for drinking and having fun, Ein Prosit!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
golden clear. Nice white foamy medium sized head. quite malty, fresh and lightly hoppy.
I expected more of this beer, but seems like it is made high volumes for the oktoberfest to be drunk lots and lots from a 1liter jar and not to think too much.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Draught at Kitty’s, Helsinki, 2008-09-25) Pale golden and clear. Medium sized quickly disapperaing white head. Fruity, malty and metallic aromas in quite light nose. Medium bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, metallic flavours, some bitterness and hint of raisin in tase. Very easy to drink despite the high carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I had a keg of it shipped up from Munich for a private Octoberfest party. Made for a great time. THE classic interpretation of this style. Hey folks-- Oktoberfests are meant as a darker, chuggable beer. Syrupy Spatens or unbalanced Sam Adams don’t ’cut the mustard’-- with brats ’n’ kraut or otherwise, like this one. Yum!

Clear light golden color and offwhite fading head. Sweet aroma. Malty flavor with hoppy dry finish. Medium carbonated. Not too special.
