The aroma is sweet hoppy with strong notes of caramel. The color is dark yellow and it has a fine lasting white head. The flavor is sweet malty with subtle hints of hops and caramel leading to a smooth hoppy bitter end.

This is the kind of beer that makes Autumn my favorite season of the year. Drinkable, crisp, refreshing, and flavorful, this beer is sure to please the drinker with its delicious fall flavor and mouthfeel. Great color, perfect for the cooling nights of the season or an afternoon football game.

Bottled. Golden colour. Malty nose with some fruitiness as well as a little butteriness. Soft malty and quite big, somewhat citric flavour with a late, rich bitterness.

I kind of like this beer when I can get it in fresh condition. Pretty well balanced flavor and not overly bitter. Nice with a good schnitzel.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2005 Golden colour. Very firm head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of herbs, wet forest, fruits, roasted malts and some chocolate. Malty flavor with notes of cream. Decent dry bitterness

Had at O.C. Malty A very average, decent Oktoberfest beer....worth drinking again.

Bottled. Bright yellow with a shiny white head. Sweet aggressive flavour. Sticky sweet flowery flavours that aren’t that appealing. Bitterness as soapy/sudsy and a you feel like you’re drinking sweetened bubble-bath.

Pours a lighter hue and has a sweeter punch than I would have wished. This may sound bad but it tasted a little too watery. Slight caramel notes. Not very high on my list and pretty average through and through. Pretty indicative of the Marzen style. This bottle is past its prime (I hope for Paulaner's sake).

I like Oktoberfest beers, and this is a decent one. Just don't have any other thought provoking commentary to provide. Nice to drink, how's that?

A whole lots of hops going on. Poured golden w. a white head that laces. Smell the hops from across the room. Malty with a long bitterness. The hops in the aroma and flavor are the what does it for me here, although without the malt it'd be wasted.
