0,5l bottle from Alko Vaasa. Pours crystal clear yellow color with not much head. Aroma is sweet and herbal. I’ve tasted every oktoberfest beer from Alko this year. This was not among the better ones. Too sweet and with a rubberlike lingering. The carbonation feels a bit low and leaves the beer as just sugar juice. Basically a sweet lager.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2016 Malziger Geruch. Dunkekgolden mit schönem Schaum. Kräftig würziges Aroma mit leichter Bitterkeit. Gleich im Antrunk ein deutlicher Starkbiergeschmack.

1000ml on tap at Käfer Wiesenschenke, Oktoberfest 2016. Aroma is light malt, light bread. Appearance is clear golden with a white head. Taste is light to medium sweet and very light bitter. A medium carbonation. Good.

Erheblich ausgereifter als andere Oktoberfestbiere. Nicht zu süß und aufdringlich untergärig. Allerdings läßt auch hier das grosse Ahaerlebnis aus. Solides Bier mit leicht alkoholischen Ausklang. Probierschluck bei the big Bayernparty with J&J&Omi&Opi....

Light amber with rich white creamy head m malty aroma. Too strong maize sweetness with some bitterness in the background. Not badly balanced but too sweet for me.

Pours a bright golden color and aspongy white head, which won’t receed at all. Smells of sun bathed straw and honeyed, sweet malts, together with just the lightest hint of herbal hops. Has a medium carbonation and a refreshing, lighter body with an effervescent finish, which almost makes up for the lack of crispness in this. Taste mirrors the nose, while the higher carbonation provides a metallic quality, which mingles into the rich hay and malt foundation. Finishes with a light, dry touch, pretty late, coating partly the malts. Well balanced, easy drinking, pairs well with food, but kinda fails on itself, since it does not provide any taste evolution, but dough and hay.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2016 Smells appetizing, fresh, but not special in any way. Appearance is definitely decent, not only the unique label on the bottle, but also the decent foam head (although nothing exceptional) and the colour. Taste: Heavy cloying sweetness which makes it different from most German beers, only lightly bitter. I was expecting much more pronounced hop notes and unique flavours. I would say that the beer drinks surprisingly easily, especially considering the alcohol content of 6%. Overall too sweet and not enough special aspects such as hop notes to really become a favourite of mine. Although I think it really suits the title Festbier. It is a beer that, due to its sweetness, is perfect for a day or night of partying. Does not leave the drinker with too much of a dry mouth. full sweet body, fizzy and slick texture (not thick though), smooth finish.

Jasnozłote, klarowne piwo o obfitej pianie, która zdobi szkło i redukuje się do mgiełki na powierzchni. Aromat i smak słodowy, niezbyt intensywny. Goryczka niska. Ogólnie liczyłem na trochę więcej, a jest to lekko wodnisty popychacz do kiełbaski na Oktoberfest.
