Obetydlig smak av humle, malt, jäst. Tunn med en liten syrlighet och beska. Obefintlig eftersmak.

Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Bready/grainy malt dominates, medium body, alcohol evident, mild bitterness with a sweetish malt finish. Not my favourite style and not my favourite version of the style.

Light gold with a thick two finger head. Oranges, wheat, citrus, and a little banana in the aroma. Really balanced flavors with light hints of fruit and alcohol in this great Oktoberfest Beer. Lots of carbonation! Great artwork on the labels too. This will forever remind me of my time in Germany. I love this brew!

Bottle at Bayernhaus, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malty with some yeasty notes leading to a smooth malty, weak bitter flavour. Well, it’s a typical refreshing Oktoberfest beer as it says on the label and as long as the world continues to drink it, Paulaner will keep on brewing it ;-)

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2013 Bottle from Systembolaget, Haparanda. Golden beer with white head. Grainy malty aroma with some hops. Tastes grainy malts too, some alcohol aswell. A bit oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Quite simple and a bit alcoholic oktoberfestbier.

Eminently drinkable with that nice caramel Octoberfest flavor. If memory serves right, I may like the Ayinger a bit better, but this is one fine Octoberfest. I have a 1L can in a 1L mug and I’m having to fight the temptation to drink it all down immediately.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
1L can from the LCBO, served in a 1L branded mug. Pours clear golden-amber with a small, off-white ehad that fades slowly to a thin cover and leaves a trivial amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are big notes of caramel and honey, along with noble hops, slight lemon, grassy hops and a touch of flower. The flavour is moderately sweet throughout, with honey, caramel and noble hops. It becomes a little more bitter towards the finish, ending on a long herbal note. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent Märzen, but quite a bit lighter than American versions. 2012-12-22
