4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured into big mug from 1L can. Beautiful golden amber with thick 1" foam that slowly dissipates.
Sweet malty aroma. I get a little honey and citrus. Wonderful light Marzen type taste. Lots of carbonation. Light palate. Sweet lightly biscuity flavor faint honey. I could drink a lot of this.
I haven’t found this anywhere other than in these limited edition cans. Kind of limits the "drinking a lot" idea. I guess I need to go to Germany.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From bottle. Gold pour. Little bit of white head. No retention or lacing. Nose is grainy with some skunk. Lots of carbonation. A little old-tasting. Passable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear, golden yellow beer with a thin white head on top. Aroma is rather yeasty and malty, nothing more actually. Flavour is medium bitter with some slight hoppy aftertaste. Big lager influences making it a kind of bland and mellow. Very easy sessionable, but not much special

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml bottle into dimpled mug, best before 5/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of bread, toast, cracker, honey, pear, apple, light caramel, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of malt, yeast ester, and hop notes; with good strength. Taste of bread, toast, cracker, pear, apple, honey, light caramel, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of bread, toast, cracker, pear, apple, honey, light caramel, light pepper, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Damn nice balance and robustness of malt and yeast ester flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest style. All around great balance and robustness of malt and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: clear deep yellow with one finger of soapy white head that shrinks to a creamy collar, leaving clingy lace. Aroma: slightly musty grain, some cracker, honey, and grass. Taste: sweet and sour, with honey, lemongrass, hay. Finish: surprisingly dry, with a bit of alcohol warmth (?!). Notes: Unexpected characteristics all around. Color was much lighter than the traditional amber. Alcohol was present, and the finish was very dry. More like some sort of crazy Helles. After having the Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest from the same brewery, I don’t know why you’d try anything else in the Oktoberfest style. That’s the gold standard right there.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours amber with a off white head. Taste slightly sweet, malt. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2oz bottle. Filtered yellow-tan body. Soapy, fading white head. Light golden malt, some deep lager tones and noble hops. Lighter than most examples of the style in color, but still has some deep malt depth. Perfectly balanced by the noble hops. Classical, well done beer.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
There seems to be some confusion about Paulaner beers. This was a 6.0% Oktoberfest Helles brewed in the Munich brewery, 1l (!) can in Belgrade from a real Maß glass. Nice amber colour, sure there would have been more head on draught. Really rich bready aroma that you can smell as it pours (at least from a huge can!). Tons of honey sweetness, like a Helles squared. Flavour unfortunately duller, more watery, though some breadiness and interesting peppery alcohol. Bit of sweet vegetal stuff going on. Slightly odd in all, if not unpleasant. I’ll be buying the last stocks of this in Belgrade for the novelty and glasses at least - unless luttonm beats me to it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour from bottle, a light golden color lively liquid. Smell citrus and taste a little bit bitter. I was expecting something great, but it’s only something good.
