Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pours clear amber with copper hues and tan head. The mild aroma has notes of plum mixed with sweet caramelization and faint grainy malts. The taste begins with a short pulse of earthy spicy hop bitterness before grainy malts mixed with a mild sense of sweet caramel come together. Midway dark fruity esters grow to be even in strength to the malts. It ends with roasted malts, fading sweet caramel and dark fruitiness along with a bit of hop bitterness. armando629 (952), Budapest, Hungary Oct 23, 2008 0,5 l can. Clear golden body, medium white lacing head.Sweet buttery aroma of caramel malt, yeast, some fruity perfume. Smooth mouthfeel with nice caramel malt, good balanced carbonation, some fruity(wild fruits?) taste, buttery yeast. Good one to the fest:) tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Oct 23, 2008 50 cl bottle at home - bought in Germany by my mother. Clear golden color, big disappering white head. Aroma is sweet with fruit and hops. Flavor is sweet malty, some bitterness. Metallic, dry finish xibalba89 (147), New York, New York, USA Oct 22, 2008 Pours a clear reddish-brown with lots of carbonation and a good head. Some hints of spiciness in the nose, but mainly just standard brown malts. The flavor has a tangy spiciness to it that makes it worth checking out... very subtle, but good. The mouth feel is great... very silky and smooth, like watery honey. A good one from Paulaner. ska (125), Italy Oct 20, 2008 50cl bottle, clear golden colour, small white head, medium carbonation, very well balanced malt and hops aroma, light sweet flavor, light body, clean finish with some hops aftertaste, easy to drink, interesting fatpaul (11), Berlin, Wisconsin, USA Oct 19, 2008 This did not have the sweetness associated with an octoberfest. Heavy yeast taste in a lighter feel beer. Was a very good tasting beer, on par with many of the german "ambers". cryfreedmb (112), Ocean, New Jersey, USA Oct 19, 2008 A qualtiy Ofest that is similiar to SA’s example. However, its missing that same smoothness that SA has along with the same freshness that I always seem to get from that beer. Besides that a good brew. halfonit (419), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Oct 17, 2008 Has a descent dark gold/light brown color to it. Hints of malts and some fruity flavors. Has a sweeter than normal Oktoberfest taste. Nice and smooth flavor which is usually the norm with anything German, but has some type of a pungent aftertaste that just doesn’t sit all that well with me.
