Sep 30, 2008 Bottle, from Wholefoods. Amber color, aroma of brown sugar and spices. Flavor was fairly heavy on the brown sugar/caramel, and lightly hopped. Easy to drink and fairly tasty. Not bad on a hot football sunday day.

Sep 30, 2008 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Colden colour, big to medium sized white head. Nice aroma of fruity German hops and sweetish malts. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty but still smooth and easy drinking, with decent hops in the finish.

Sep 27, 2008 From the tap. Pours a clear, darkish amber with a nice frothy head. No lacing. Aroma is wheat and yeast, with a bit of malt. Flavor is sweet and a bit spicy, as you’d expect with the style. Palate is medium bodied, becoming much smoother as the beer warms. Overall a very drinkable Marzen.

Sep 26, 2008 This is a very suitable beer for the Oktoberfest if you are in Munich during the actual fortnight. Very drinkable, but in no way a fancy beer for connoisseurs. But what the heck, its made for drinking and having fun, Ein Prosit!

I expected more of this beer, but seems like it is made high volumes for the oktoberfest to be drunk lots and lots from a 1liter jar and not to think too much.

Sep 26, 2008 (Draught at Kitty’s, Helsinki, 2008-09-25) Pale golden and clear. Medium sized quickly disapperaing white head. Fruity, malty and metallic aromas in quite light nose. Medium bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, metallic flavours, some bitterness and hint of raisin in tase. Very easy to drink despite the high carbonation.
