kevd193213 (477), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottle. Dirty amber pour with a nice creamy head. Aroma of malt and barnyard. Taste of grain, almond and burnt malt. Nice finish. Great for a fall session brew. TapMaster (16), , California, USA Sep 19, 2008 Amber color , head fell fast, practically flat, is this why it was on sale? malty flavor, ok, but wouldn’t buy it again, try the hefewiezen nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2008 12 oz, produced 05/08, 5.8% abv. Clear, deep amber-copper with a lasting 2-finger head. Some spots of soapy lace are left behind. Aromas of earth-spiced molasses, dry grain, candy corn and a hint of metal. Flavor starts with malt: earthy caramel, toffee, dry grain and toasted nut. Slowly sweeps to a balanced finish with some light peppery-wooden hops and slight sour apple. Medium body is lightly carbonated, with a little hop-tingle and a nice lean to the dry-side for the finish. Parasympatikus (25), , Finland Sep 18, 2008 Clear light golden color and offwhite fading head. Sweet aroma. Malty flavor with hoppy dry finish. Medium carbonated. Not too special. Foxbush (452), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 17, 2008 Updated: Nov 20, 2008This is one of the beers that The Capital Ale House is celebrating this week. The baer is a smooth drink with the hoppiness and fullness that makes it a very speccial drink. It is full body beer that is worthy of the beer of Munich. I want to learn more about the Marzan style. tlind2 (560), Helsinki, Finland Sep 17, 2008 Draught@Rotterdam, Helsinki. Golden color, white head. Sweet malty aroma, very fresh malty flavor with just enough hops to make it quaffable. No noticable alcohol. It’s a good Oktoberfest beer. thendrix (7), USA does not count Sep 17, 2008 I enjoyed the depth of the flavor - lots of malt and sweetness at the beginning and finished off with just a little bitter. Good Octoberfest brew for sure. rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Sep 16, 2008 12 oz bottle, pours a rusty amber color. Aroma is sweet and malty with a trace of hop character.
