Not bad but not great either, typical for marzens. dkachur (2347), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 18, 2008 12 oz, produced 05/08, 5.8% abv. Clear, deep amber-copper with a lasting 2-finger head. Some spots of soapy lace are left behind. Aromas of earth-spiced molasses, dry grain, candy corn and a hint of metal. Flavor starts with malt: earthy caramel, toffee, dry grain and toasted nut. Slowly sweeps to a balanced finish with some light peppery-wooden hops and slight sour apple. Medium body is lightly carbonated, with a little hop-tingle and a nice lean to the dry-side for the finish. Parasympatikus (25), , Finland
