JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 13, 2009 Draught Bright-golden colour, under fluffy yellowish head. Maltbomb, with toasted aroma and bit grainy underbuild. Bit almondy flavour, and typical pale and lightly toasted malts. Light, with a background stickyness; certainly not empty. Quite doable, but I can’t figure myself downing litres of this stuff four hours. smith4498 (816), Miami, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2009 Pours dark amber with off white head. Sweet fruits and spices in the aroma. Sweet caramel flavor with light hoppiness. Medium body with soft carbonation. A really good Oktoberfest. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 10, 2009 Bottle. It pours a finger-thick white head over a clear, golden body. Some tropical fruits in syrup on the nose, with pale malts and some grass. Hayish, perfumed touch. Grainy, hayish, fruity, slightly syrupy nose with some bitterness. A bit sweetish maybe, finishing sweet and bitter. Would like more bitterness though. Overall it’s a bit on the sweet side, but it’s a drinkable beer indeed. 091010 joebudzjoe (222), Connecticut, USA Oct 9, 2009 Draft @ Monster B’s. Sweet smelling beer that’s well balanced and refreshing. Slight floral hop flavor. Nothing spectacular, but solid. RuneStumo (495), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway Oct 9, 2009 07.10.2009, 0,5l Bottle at Den Gode Nabo, Trondheim. Golden amber colour with white head. Aroma is malty with a fresh bitter aftertaste. Very nice and easy drinkable fest bier. piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 7, 2009 Canned sample. Gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of pale malts, minerals, booze, and vegetal hops. Flavor wise, there are elements of white bread dough, loads of minerals (practically like licking wet rocks) and more veggie + peppery hops. Medium bodied. Very unlike anything other oktoberfests I’ve had in that it’s not all that bready, nutty, or caramelly. More like a suped up helles to be honest. Fairly drinkable, but smells and tastes more boozy than it really is. Average at best. beersearcher (197), Glendale, California, USA Oct 7, 2009 Pours medium brown with orange hues. Malty and sweet upfront. Easy to drink though gets a little cloying. Not much hop presence. Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Oct 6, 2009 Clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy and light malt. Not much going on in the flavor besides the grassy hops and a light biscuit malt profile. Boring and unworthy. It was easy to swig though, so if you want to do that then this might be up your alley.
