The color is a beautiful clear amber and with the exception of the quickly disappearing white foam looks great. Nice light refreshing taste. Light body and a smooth drink but a little nit of a bitter finish. I really enjoy these types of beers but I’m not sure if this was my favorite. gringo332 (238), Richardson, Texas, USA

Flavor is unmatched in festbiers. As others have said below, it is the best mass at Oktoberfest. McCracken (14), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 19, 2008 Tasted a fine draft example at Cafe Berlin in Denver. A very nice elegant malty aroma with a slight graham cracker note. Pilsner malt comes through with a clean, fresh profile. Appearance was amber and crystal clear with a thin white head cover. Carbonation was low and mouthfeel was medium bodied with a touch of dms. I think I noted a slight diacetyl note, but it might have just been the elegance and slight caramel note of the toasty munich malt. Flavor was elegant and slightly sweet. Not as dry as I’ve had from the bottle but still pretty nice and not as oxidized as bottle examples. An Oktoberfest on draft is worth trying. Not much bad to say other than a little too low on carbonation and not quite dry enough...increasing carbonation might increase perception of dryness. Mouthfeel was watery but a tad too fizzy. Very nice to sip on, a little bit of alcohol noticable in the finish. Goes quite well with food. renffisch (517), london, Greater London, England

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Updated: Dec 15, 2008Poured into an Eichhof bier mug. Clear amber/copper color with a nice off-white head.
Aroma is malty, with a sweet biscuity character and a little bit of spiciness.
Taste is light and grainy, with sweet malt and a touch of black tea.
This beer is absurdly easy to drink. It’s smooth and tasty, light but flavorful.
