ShaneyMac (7), Unna, Germany does not count Feb 25, 2008 Ein kraftvolles Bier mit leckerem Malz-Hopfen-Einschlag. Der Alk.-Gehalt ist nicht ansatzweise heraus zu schmecken. Die Süffigkeit für diesen Stoff ist phänomenal! iride15 (169), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 22, 2008 A dark amber beer with a white thick head. Aroma is hoppy and malty. Taste is malty and sweet, notes of hops. Very well balanced. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Feb 19, 2008 Dark copper to amber beer with fine white head. Aroma is of nuts, caramel and great German malts. Taste is sweet up front but well-attenuated with a slightly astringent finish. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Feb 17, 2008 Pours a reddish-orange color with a thin white head that drops quickly leaving a thin ring. Light, pleasant malt aroma. Taste is malty with a faint nuttiness. There’s a very light bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, with moderate carbonation. Classic example of the style. joeyv120 (16), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Feb 16, 2008 Color is a dark golden-honey, and has a velvety head. Not much aroma to speak of beyond simple hops and malts. Flavor is a nice blend of hops and malts with a hint of caramel with a mellow finish. BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Poured a golden-copper color with moderate off-white head. Aroma of some malt and a hint of spiciness. Flavor begins with a nice maltiness, perhaps a slight caramel leading into a slight spicy and faint hops. Not a great beer, but definitely I something I could enjoy a lot of at an Oktoberfest celebration. Egon (392), Gothenburg, Sweden Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Yellow with white head. Hay as for the other oktoberfest beers. Some sweet and low on hops. Not bad. VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA Feb 14, 2008 Sweet honey nose. Orange to amber color with thick head. Nice clean malty sweetness with decent hop balance...could use little more bitterness, fairly typical for the style. Great body, finishes smooth. Pretty solid Oktoberfest/Märzen, but it is even better from the tap...
