Jan 26, 2008 12oz bottle poured into a lager glass. PO pours the color of amber with a medium to large creamy looking head. The aroma is mostly malt with a touch of hops peeking through. The flavor is quite malty along with the taste of club crackers. The body is medium and evacuates the mouth quickly leaving a small pleasant dry aftertaste.

Jan 23, 2008 .5 liter brown bottle. Pours a pretty amber/gold, not a lot of carbonation or head. Lots of malt in the aroma, a little caramel.
Medium body with a rich German malt flavor. There is a little bit of noble hop bitterness. Nice Oktoberfest. Very drinkable, a great beer with spicy food.

Jan 16, 2008 pours an orangey amber with a thin white head. aroma has a slight nutty caramel character with gentle hops and a little date. taste is molasses with some sweet & sour notes, a little creamy, and malt shows through. mid-bodied with a light bitter finish. soft carbonation. not really any lacing. leaves a nice taste on the tongue. pretty good. would go nicely with a reuben or pork & sauerkraut.

Jan 15, 2008 Pours a really nice amber color with an off white head. Aroma is of honey, spice, and a floral scent. Taste of honey, caramel, malt, and a slight hop.

Jan 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clar bright copper with a fading white head. Sweet caramel and nut aroma with some grassy hops behind it. Medium light body with just a dash of creaminess and moderate carbonation. Sweet taste, pretty much what the nose would lead you to believe. A little bitterness in the finish to remind you that hops have been used. I could probably drink vast quantities of this beer.

Jan 2, 2008 Updated: Mar 13, 2008This is a very nice Oktoberfest beer. It is red amber with a medium off-white head that steadily dissipates to a thin ring and wisps. The aroma is malt, whole wheat bread, caramel, and pine. The taste has nice sweet-bitter balance, with malty, caramel, whole wheat sweetness and sourdough followed by light cypress-like, aromatic bitterness that complements the rest nicely in the finish. It is somewhat complex, very tasty, lively, and very nicely balanced, with a good body.
