georgekessel (68), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 1, 2008 Bottle; The beauty of the color of this beer had me enchanted. The color was a chestnut orange that radiated as I held it up to the fireplace to admire. Low white head. Aroma of the fields, grains; tastes were butterscotchy with a clean medium finish Floback (333), Naples, Florida, USA Dec 30, 2007 Pours a golden orange with a third-inch of off-white head. Aroma of grains. Tastes include biscuits, very subtle caramel, malts, and wheat. Medium/full carbonation and medium bodied. Crisp finish. Not bad. crowderm (275), Recklinghausen, Germany Dec 30, 2007 Nice amber color with a thick white head. Smells of malt, bread, honey and a little bit of hops. The flavor very malty, with a slight sourdough bread bitterness. The hops come through a little bit in the finish, but are not very pronounced. Nice full bodied mouthfeel. A solid brew - although I probably would have enjoyed it more in a drinking tent in Munich. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 27, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours clear yellow with a dense white head. Slight breadish and mild hoppy aroma. Flavour is medium sweet cornish/cereal with a mild honey like herbalness and a mild hoppy freshness. Ends with a medium sweet and slight bitter hops note. Quite nice. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Dec 26, 2007 12 oz bottle poured into my lager glass- poured semi transparent light dark amber, moderate carbonation, off white head that went away and formed a ring around the glass. Aroma of lightly toasted malt with some honey notes, very appeasing. Hits the mouth with a medium body, hops and sweetness from start to finish, finish slowly goes away, which is nice. Yea! daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA Dec 26, 2007 Ach Yah dis is uber gut Oktoberfest bier, yah? Not very adventurous or exciting, but a delightful Oktober treat! Pretty full bodied classic amber. dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Dec 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep golden brown, with a thick white, billowy head. Rich Malty aroma, although it is a bit raw. Medium to heavy body, with a very raw grain flavor. Not much hop character to set off the malt. twindadplus2 (408), Wisconsin, USA Dec 21, 2007 Bottle. Reddish bronze color with a small, off white head. Nutty sweet malt aroma. Taste is sweet fruits and a bit of malt. Short, lightly hopped finish and, while I like a malty Octoberfest, I would still like a bit more of a hops backbone to this.
