| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Canned sample. Gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of pale malts, minerals, booze, and vegetal hops. Flavor wise, there are elements of white bread dough, loads of minerals (practically like licking wet rocks) and more veggie + peppery hops. Medium bodied. Very unlike anything other oktoberfests I’ve had in that it’s not all that bready, nutty, or caramelly. More like a suped up helles to be honest. Fairly drinkable, but smells and tastes more boozy than it really is. Average at best. beersearcher (221), Glendale, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Pours medium brown with orange hues. Malty and sweet upfront. Easy to drink though gets a little cloying. Not much hop presence. Capa (955), Yokosuka, Japan
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy and light malt. Not much going on in the flavor besides the grassy hops and a light biscuit malt profile. Boring and unworthy. It was easy to swig though, so if you want to do that then this might be up your alley. theisti (1650), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2009 1/3 liter draft at Cafe Berlin in Denver, Colorado. Pour is clear copper and brownish with a smallish off white head. There is a bunch of visible carbonation bubbles. Aroma is sweet hay and nicely toasty refined maltiness. In the back of the aroma is a touch of floral. Taste is a nice balance of the sweet grassy malt and some floral hop. Palate is thin medium, with a nice carbonation level - this beer went down very easy. brenn79 (159), Idaho, USA
