MHED (112), lisle, USA Sep 17, 2007 12 oz bottle. pours an opaque orange/amer with medium tight white head. has aroma of malt toast and somewhat estery. Why does it say Ale on the label? Octoberfest has always been lagers. Especially there version..Tastes less dry and crisp. some of the malkt flavor gets lost in these esters anfinishes less dry than i remember. JamesD (192), Centreville, Virginia, USA Sep 17, 2007 An okay Oktoberfest. There are much better ones to be had. The flavor is smooth and malty, but lacks the punch that sets some of the better ones apart. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Sep 17, 2007 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear bright amber color with flat ring head. Caramel apple aroma. Caramel malt flavor with very slight fruitiness and very mild lingering bitterness. Seems to be a good version of the style but I’m no expert at this style nor am I a fan. stefanje (937), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Sep 17, 2007 500 ml bottle from Bevmo. Poured a copper amber color with an off white head that quickly disappeared and had no lacing. The Aroma was light with a musty yeasty character. Flavor was one dimensional with caramel sweets and saccharine. Mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery. Finish was short and sweet with a bit of soap film. Overall this is a below average Oktoberfest beer. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Sep 17, 2007 A pretty good Marzen. Enjoyed from the tap at Glendale WI’s Oktoberfest. Nice amber color, nice aroma and flavor. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA Sep 15, 2007 Golen color with a small head. Malty aroma with some wet cardboard present. Mild malt flavor balanced by some spicy bitterness, rather thin mouth feel. I expected more. wingman333 (233), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 15, 2007 Strong aroma and strong flavor make this one of my favorite Oktoberfests thus far. It also pours clean and crystal-clear amber. The flavors are very malty and cereal-like, but good. undsioux7 (553), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Sep 15, 2007 Pours amber with a small head that dissapears completely. Caremel with a floral hop. A touch of sweet malt, tiny bit of soap, doughy, yeasty.A nice little hop bite at the end. Nice mouthfeel.
