| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Tap. Moderate malt aromas of roasted, caramel and light chocolate, light hop note of herbs, and a light doughy smell for the yeast, with a nice honey aroma and brown sugar in the background. Head is rocky/foamy, white, with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is a clear red/brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and acidic, then lightly sweet and modrately acidic and bitter in the finish. Palate is dry/watery, light to medium with a lively carbonation. A great example of quality German Oktoberfest RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Pours a clear orange/gold. Flavor is slightly sweet, but smooth. At first there seemed to be almost a perfume touch.Goes down very smooth, which ups the drinkability. Feel is thick with character and a good level of carbonation too. Good to try, but not spectacular enough to warrant a repeat performance I say. Hammster (187), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Bottle. I was pretty disappointed in this. It poured a nice dark brown but had a weak head. The aroma was malty and very sweet and the palate was smooth but the taste was flat and lacking complexity. When buying Paulaner, I much prefer their hefeweizen. AmazonMatt (284), Panama
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Good but not great. Poured amber with some malt notes. Not my favorite style (read: lager). I didn’t notice the 6% alc. Seemed like a premium lager to me (actually I think that I like Fairbanks Lager and Sam Adams better). Special to an international food festival here in Panama. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2007 Bottle. Amber caramel color, sweet malt or toast aroma. Crisp malt profile. Caramel and munich malt flavor. Simple and well balanced. Easy drinking and very smooth. Well crafted beer. Good fresh and cold. Goodgrief (1149), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Beer poured with bright orange color with smallish foamy head. Spicy aroma. This was a nice amber ale. Spices were subtle and not overdone...in fact, I might not even have noted this as an Oktoberfest if the label didn’t tell me so. Mouthfeel was pretty carbonated. Very crisp, clean, refreshing brew. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Golden with an OK head. The aroma is malty and hoppy. The flavour is slightly sweet with light notes of flower and caramel and the bitterness is low. This beer simply doesn’t make any impression on me, but then again this is absolutely not a favourite style... 1543 sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA
