Tried this out of bottle. Pours a nice clear amber with frothy head. Aroma is a nice scent of fresh bread. Flavor is a clean and crisp with slight hops bitterness. Overall, I’d purchase this again...

bottle. Golden colour, malty and fruity nose. Malty and fruity flavour with a pleasant fruity sourness. Full-bodied, fruity aftertaste.

Bottle--Ah, Oktoberfest time, or as it is known in Florida, summer. More acturately it is hurricane season. But with September one day away it time to dream of cold fronts dropping down the morning temperature to 68, soccer practices without skin roasting sun and rolling down the car windows on the drive home. Alas, none of this happens until late October, but a fine Oktoberfest brew can take your mind off the 90 degree days and allows you to wrap yourself in dreams of crisp breezes and the smell of fallen leaves. Leaving the yearnings of midwestern childhoods behind, I see that my beer is a solid dark amber, almost copper, color with a small head. A strong sweet smell hits you straight from the bottle and I have to agree with Linus/Stick of the wet malt smell. I could never quite place that smell, but now I can. The taste is of soft caramel and a touch of nuts. The finish is the nice part as some hops rise up and just clip off the final portion of the sip to leave a little lip smacking. Poured a lovely orange/light brown with a nice resilent off-white head. The nose had a slight toastiness, gentle caramelly malts and a nice nuttiness. The flavor started with mostly biscuity and caramel malts with a trace of roastiness and nuttiness. The finish was nicely crisp with Noble hops. I really enjoyed how this beer was hopped, just enough to counter the sweetness and not a smidge more. This beer is a really nice marzen, I think it could stand to be a little fuller in the mouth though.

Aroma of sticky wet malt. Pour was a dark amber with no head...which contradicts the image of Oktoberfest in my mind. A busty blond German girl holding 2 mugs of beer with the heads overflowing. Taste was a little watery with little carbonation. Stale caramel malt with some suprise bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad but I’ve had better this week.

Amber color with foamy head. Looks like it’s full of carbonation, but goes down smooth without a carbonated feel. Tastes hoppy, full of flavor. Very smooth. Great fall ale - try it with a hot, soft pretzel.

Bottle. Pours a brilliant amber with a creamy white head. The beer is rich, smooth and malty with a light floral hop character. It has a rich, full mouthfeel. This style one of the biggest reasons I look forward to the fall.
