| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Musty sweet aroma when you pop the lid on this 12 oz bottle. Slightly darker than your normal pale yellow american lager, has some red or orange tinge in there. No head, as absent as the head of Mr. Clean. Palate hit is mild barely there carbonation. Does not have the alky bite of a 6%, well hidden. Finish is lacking the malty bitter bite so common with many higher alky beers. Enjoyable and controlled. Not as good as Stoudt’s, Schell or Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märze, but can hold it’s own against the rest. EHSRanders (1120), Randers C, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2007 8/8/07 From the bottle. Aroma is sour munich malt forward followed by some not-to-style caramel. Sweet, with no hop aroma. Appearance is medium copper with a moderate off-white head. Flavor is slightly sweet with sour munich malt. Slightly earthy, but not from hop character and very low bittering. Mouthfeel is lightly creamy with a low carb bite and a dry finish. Overall, not bad, but not very exciting versus many other Oktoberfests/Marzens out there.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours a crystal clear copper with a modest, creamy, off-white head that diminishes quickly. On the nose are toasted, biscuity, caramel malts with just a hint of peaty smokiness. Medium-bodied and slick with a tight, lightly bitter finish and just a touch of metal. The flavor is of toasted malt, caramel and peaty/earthy hops. Well balanced and nicely integrated flavors with a dry finish that forces you to take another sip. A tasty quaffer and considerably smoother than the average American amber. Slayer85 (583), Firenze, Italy
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Bottled. A dark golden beer with a big white foam that disappears quickly. The aroma is malty, while the taste has a discrete maltiness and a light hopping in the finish. Medium/strong body and a hint of alcohol is felt. Not the beat from Paulaner.
