Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Aug 8, 2007 Pours a crystal clear copper with a modest, creamy, off-white head that diminishes quickly. On the nose are toasted, biscuity, caramel malts with just a hint of peaty smokiness. Medium-bodied and slick with a tight, lightly bitter finish and just a touch of metal. The flavor is of toasted malt, caramel and peaty/earthy hops. Well balanced and nicely integrated flavors with a dry finish that forces you to take another sip. A tasty quaffer and considerably smoother than the average American amber. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Aug 8, 2007 Bottled. A dark golden beer with a big white foam that disappears quickly. The aroma is malty, while the taste has a discrete maltiness and a light hopping in the finish. Medium/strong body and a hint of alcohol is felt. Not the beat from Paulaner. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Aug 3, 2007 Bottle.Clear amber.Off-white head.Smells of caramel, malt.Mainly sweet flavor with a slight bitterness.Clean finish.Good. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 28, 2007 Beer is clear medium brown with a small, white, frothy, quickly and mostly diminishing but lasting head,
The aroma is malty with moderate notes of toasted grain, toasted bread crust and a light note of caramel; Hoppy with light notes of resin, alfalfa; Trace lacquer/alcohol like note .
The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter with a longish, lightly bittersweet, trace acidic finish.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively. Theis (3617), Denmark Jul 13, 2007 Can at home - shared with Mette - stolen from Lotte !!! Clear golden - white head. Aroma: Bread, white bread, light citrus hoppy. Taste: Nice soft malty, light hoppy, citrus, light sweetness, citrus hoppy. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Jun 26, 2007 500 mL bottle. Orange amber with a creamy white head. Aroma of wheat bread. Grainy bread taste and malt with a crisp finish. I don’t particularly care for this one. ChrisTurner (202), Melbourne, Australia Jun 24, 2007 Bottle -- Deep orange with negligible head with no retention and no lacing. Very little visible carbonation. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of caramel and honey. Flavour is more of the same with some light hops at the end. Not a style I enjoy but not a bad drop. RUDYKY (4), GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands does not count Jun 22, 2007 Prussians living in bavaria who do not like "Paulaner" should stop drinking beer or leave the country for good!!
