Feb 12, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, golden, amber brown with a medium sized white head. Sweet, malty aromas of vanilla, honey, and caramel. Roasted nut and sweet caramel flavors are complemented by a dry and slightly bitter finish.

Feb 12, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber colour with a nice big fluffy creamy white head. The aroma is quite malty with good caramel and some hops. The flavor has a good toasty maltiness, toasted caramel, slight nuttiness, bit grassy hops. Some bitterness in the finish.

Jan 30, 2007 Nice sweet malty finish, with hints of floral hops. Pours nicely with not too much head. Tastes better after you pour and let it sit for a while and it opens up. Beer of choice these last couple of months.

Jan 27, 2007 Pours a clear copper color, briefly topped by about two inches of soft cream colored foam. Minimal head retention, scant lacing. Sweet caramel malt in the aroma.
A hint of toasted malt, a lot of sweetly fruited caramel malt. Not quite medium body, dull carbonation. A hint of almond accompanies the sweet malt in the finish. A kiss of hop tang in the finish.
Good enough stuff - I really dig that almond flavor - but I like more dry toasted malt and less sweet caramel fruitiness. That’s just me.

Jan 22, 2007 Adequate and representative of the style. Nose of malts and floral hops. Cloudy golden pour, smi-hazy, moderate off white head. Sweet amber malts, too much floral hop for my taste, some caramel sweetness, good bitter finish.

does not count  Jan 22, 2007 Bottle produced 07.06 pours amber and clear. I had very little head that was off white. It has a light bitter taste and is fairly smooth.

Aroma of cream, vanilla and caramel. Mouthfeel nice - smooth and full, some prickliness esp. up front. Flavor is OK but pretty muted - caramel and vanilla, maybe hint of pumpkin. Fair amount of bitterness as well. A little bland.
