Paulaner Oktoberfest

Bottle. Pours a golden colour with a white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty flavor with some yeasty and bready hints. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness.

Bottle at home. Went flat fast and didn’t taste much better. Malty with little flavor to recommend it. Better than pilseners but not much punch to it, despite the decent alcohol content.

Attractive copper color, with an off-shite head. Unfortunately, the head didn’t stay around very long. Semi-sweet, malty aroma. Very smooth, and quite nicely balance malt and hop flavor. I have to admit, though, that I think Spaten’s version of this style is little bit better.

Poured a pale amber color with a nice and long-lasting head. Aroma is malty, maybe some citrus. Taste is mild, mostly malt with just a touch of bitterness. Pretty good beer, but seems to lack something....perhaps more hops?

Yeast and malty aroma. Color is deep yellow. Pretty smooth and lingers without bitterness. Not too strong. Pretty good beer.

2006.. 12 oz bottle has a mildly fragrant yeast and malty nose to it...color is a prettty deep orange..has a smoky nutty essence to it...texture is a bit on the creamy side...and finish is delish and lingering...a nice sweetness as well..but definatley not overbearing

Orange copper color, not much head but seems to have decent lacing on the glass. Smells malty and sweet, tastes much the same. not a whole lot of hop presence.decent but nothing to get too excited over.

Bottle from July 1993. very thin with a yellow copper colour. No head was produced. The bottle cap showed some signs of leakage. The body confirmed this in being pretty flat. This did not, however, feel as though it was infected or oxidized. I don’t think the past 13 years have been good to it as it seems to have lost its body and most flavour. The light flavour that is present finishes in some off flavours. Needless to say, i didn’t finish the bottle and will have to give it a more fair rating from a fresh bottle.
