spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Nov 23, 2006 Aroma is of sweet malts.Pours copper with an off white head that diminishes quickly.Get some wheat and sweet malts in the flavor.Kind of fizzy and thin with a sweet finish. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Nov 22, 2006 Had this one bottled from the Binny’s Oktoberfest beertasting in St. Charles, Illinois. Dark yellow pour with a thin white head, nose of apple, honey and grapes, a bit of sweetness throughout but not much else going on here. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA Nov 21, 2006 Bottle. Sweet malty aroma, crisp and fuity. Good pillowy head and golden amber color. Slightly metallic initial flavor. Light roasted malt flavor, not overpowering. Bitter finish and duration. Average palate, well carbonated initially but flattens out quickly. Ok overall. glider (53), Shrub Oak, New York, USA Nov 20, 2006 Real good brew ! From the translucent orange color to the way the foam hugs the glass to the head - are all a nice prelude to the interesting flavor. More malt than hops with a little toffee flavor in there. Clean, smooth drink.....great if you’re having more than one ! NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Nov 19, 2006 Golden colored oktoberfest. Not very special, yeasty, a bit bitter. Drinkable, not enjoyable. RichardGretton (3128), Leicestershire, England Nov 18, 2006 Bottle. Pale golden beer with a light head. The aroma is yeasty and lightly dry and the flavour is very bitter, dry and yeasty. Overall a nice beer. kopher (294), New York, USA Nov 16, 2006 Updated: Sep 20, 2008Golden with thin white head. Strong aroma of malt and some metal, some apple, and some honey. Some malt, a bit of sweetness, very little bitter, not much at all. Also a bit flat, not much body or anything to the texture. merlin48 (509), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA Nov 16, 2006 One of the true joys of autumn here. Clear amber orange body is topped by a nice white head that hangs around and laces well. Aroma is inviting, biscuity toffee and honey malt profile with floral and spicy hops. Light medium body makes for easy sipping. Taste is extremely well balanced between soft toasty malts and subtle bittering hops. Toffee and honey sweetness balanced by slightly spicy hops, accented by florals and a note of apple. Nothing exceptional here, really, just an extraordinarily well crafted and very tasty lager.
