mreusch (442), Olathe, Kansas, USA Apr 16, 2008 As the wife said to me tonight when she brought these back to the hotel room - "I figure we heven’t been through enough Hell today, so why not drink some?" Pours a bright and clear golden yellow with a slight whispy white cap, minimal lacing. Aroma is shortbread cookie and gentle hops. Flavor has a pleasing cookie/biscuit malt and citrusy, slightly lemony, hops. Light, refreshing and easily quaffable. Not bad, of course, because its not a Russian beer...
troyc (938), A ’moist’ county, Texas, USA Aug 19, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a golden straw color with a large white head. Aroma of light hop and smooth grains. Not particularly hoppy in my opinion, despite the description. Light yeast flavors in the finish. The solid, clean flavor is nothing really overly special... but it’s still a great beer to drink on a regular basis. larsga (2132), Oslo, Norway Aug 17, 2008 Biggish very white shiny lasting head. Golden body. Clean fruity straw aroma with minty grassy notes. Dryish straw and fruit taste. Clean, soft mouthfeel. Harmonic and balanced. A bit chalky. Dry apple and grass aftertaste with minty notes and traces of oranges. Very nice. (0.5l bottle, Rewe, München.) GregClow (2318), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 6, 2008 Draught at Bier Markt King West. Bright & clear golden with a good sized white head. Very inviting aroma of toasted malt and spicy/herbal hops with a hint of cereal. Medium mouthfeel with a tingly finish from the carbonation. Flavour follows the aroma, with the hops developing a slight lemony note in the finish. A really enjoyable lager. Pete_the_Meat (489), Hove, Denmark Jul 26, 2008 Bottled: Golden ale. White head. Malty sweet aroma and flavour with some hoppy notes. Very well balanced. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 25, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. Light wheaty ester aroma, light fruity too. Light fruity hops flavour, mild yeasty and with a nice set of mild esters. Light fruity and mild bitter finish.
