Bottle. Dark redish brown with a solid tan head. Aroma is malt and chocolate. Flavour is dusty malt with roast notes and a light smoky finish.

500 ml. bottle @ home – darker brown with a red hue with an off-white head around the sides – smell is light cola, syrup, caramel, molasses, spices with a reasonably strong herbal streak – tastes of caramel malts, caramel syrup, molasses, dark fruits, herbal, sticky winter spices, plenty of toast, light bitter in the back – ok medium head – not overly impressive – ok German style exercise

500ml bottle. Pours a dark caramel brown with a large head. Aroma is lightly smoky apple and raisin. Taste has caramel and apple to start and a strong apple malt finish. Light smoke on the aftertaste.

(Draught @ The Man Of Kent. Rochester) What can I say ? I was rather tipsy when this stocky brew came my way ,and yes, its syrupy and cumbersome but with a generous amount of flavours goin ’ down. Notes that suggest dark malts ...giving birth to caramel . chocolate . A dash of earthy hops and notes of tar ....a very treacly ,almost winey texture never relentess on the palate . This beer is not with a "more’ish" potancy and that’s why I drink dark lager.

Malty smooth with dabs of caramel. Over carbonated to my taste with hints of aluminum (oxidation) and sulfur.

Pours a dark brown with a small beige ring. Aroma is chocolate, molasses, roasted malts. Taste is a nice big round chocolate and roasted malts. Nice molasses and dark malts. Great beer.

Draft: Red / brown color, malty sweetness, brown sugar, molasses, syrop. Strong aroma. Food Pairing: Uli Hoeneß sausages.

0,5 l bottle shared with McTapps. Malt all the way. After some pilsners and exports this one is something special. Malt, caramel and a bit if roast all the way. With that taste the head doesn’t matter. Winner of my Saturday night. Easy to drink but still with a full body. Great one.

Great beer. Almost like a malt beer with alcohol. Sweetish, quaffable, almost no bitterness.
