When the Original Münchner was brewed for the first time at the end of the 19th Century, it was a spectacular success. With its hoppy taste, subtle, light and elegant, it becomes ever popular. Today the Paulaner Original Münchner is the best sold Münchner Hellbier (lager beer) in the world and Paulaner's No. 1 export beer in over 30 countries with its wonderfully subtle, spicy, naturally hearty taste.

Bought as "Paulaner Münchner Hell". Bottled May 2015. L: Pours clear pale color between yellow and green. Thick two fingers white head disappears quickly. Carbonation is low. S: Tender warm smell of fresh baked bread, baked pork, with some hops on the background. T: Rich taste of dough and oats with nice hoppy aftertaste. F: Fits the style. O: Very good helles, rich in taste and refreshing. I’d highly recomend to try it.

0.5 l can from Germany. Beautiful sparkling golden color with thin head. Hoppy, refresing aroma & taste. Medium bodied, yet easily drinkable with an average carbonation. Relatively long finishing. One of my favoite lagers.

0,5l bottle and tap. Golden colour with big creamy long lasting white head. Aroma: Nice sweet bread. Taste: Sweet bread, butter then medium and very balanced bitterness. Creamy texture. Medium body, well carbonated. Dry finish. A pleasure to drink especially at summer. Best helles, maybe.

Gezapft in einem Münchner Restaurant, goldgelber Körper mit schmalen Schaumrand, sehr mild, leicht bitter, leichtes getreidiges Aroma. Okay, aber austauschbar

It is a classical beer, a standard one.The color is yellow clear and weak foam, average carbonation. There is a side bitter, metalic with some hop, malty but the taste of alcohol is stronger. It is not the best from paulaner. The final taste in the mouth is not plesant.

On tap at the Bavarian Brauhaus, Glasgow. The best lager I had that night. A fruity, medium sweet but refreshing lager.

Aroma: herbs and malty notes. Apppearance: clear really straw color and thim white head. Taste: medium herbal bitterness (slightly stalky), malty notes, quite empty and dry. Palate: low body and high carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Average stuff, that’s all.
