2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16oz on tap at Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield. Served in a plastic red cup. Malty, nutty aroma is predominant. Caramel malt. Mostly clear amber brown color. Thin khaki head. Few bits of lace. Difficult to observe the appearance from this cup. Medium body. Lighter carbonation, lightly sticky. Light dark fruit flavors. More sweet taste. OK oktoberfest, not great. Sort of sweet and lagery, in a musty / malty way.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft pour on special at Memory Lanes. Initial thought (and not a good one) is this isn’t very fresh. Lacing not prevalent and aroma is slightly stale. Maybe an issue with one of their early batches? Malty and caramel as is typical of this style. Slight more bitterness than expected. Overall disappointed...of course it’s freaking 90 degrees in Sept...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft: pours a clear amber brown color with a small white head on it. Aroma is sweet caramel and some bread. It tastes of sweet nutty caramel. More of the bread. I enjoy the sweetness of this Oktoberfest next to a lot of the other ones I have tasted lately. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a nice amber color with a small off white head. Nice retention. The nose is mainly toast, malt, and a hint of euro lager. The flavor starts off with just a hint of sweetness. Toast, malt, and a hint of grassy bitterness on the palate. Finishes fairly crisp. Just what I expect an Oktoberfest to be. Solid rendition.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle. Pours a clear brownish amber color with a one finger head and a nice amount of lacing. Smell is sweet bready malt with a note of caramel. Taste follows the aroma with some nuttiness and a lightly bitter hop finish. Light end of medium bodied and very smooth, with above average carbonation.
