Wow. This stuff is great. Malty, big, and clean. I like the touch of roughness. This actually tastes better while outside during sunset on a fall evening. Try it sometime!

Not a bad beer but could use a little improvement. Not quite clean enough. Very malty but not as smooth as Spaten’s. Big pleasing aroma but flavor is lacking a bit.

Amber color, tan head. Sweet malty taste rapidly changes to a bitter long finish.

This is another Paulaner brew that pleasantly surprised me. Amber colored, but with no head retention. This beer was quite maltier than expected in aroma and flavor--almost approaching doppelbock character. The maltiness is certainly rich, but also well balanced. Easy on the palate, this is an exceptional oktoberfest selection.

This beer’s color is the very definition of amber. Nose is of lightly roasted malts and some light hop aroma. Hops hit the palate first with this beer then a bit of sweetness to finish. Mouthfeel is pretty thin despite it’s rather malty nose. It’s an O.K. Oktoberfest beer, which is not my favorite style to begin with.

amber gold color, sweet malty aroma. very clean malt body with caramel and toffee notes. a perfumy bitter hop finish balances outthe overall sweetness. a good beer that lacks the extra edge that could make it a great beer.

Yummmmm, thick and caramelly malts - full flavored and thick mouthfeel. Some slight hop at the end. I would love to be at a real Octoberfest, drinking this from morning til night.

Great color, good malt aroma and flavor. But, like Hacker-Pschorr, seasonal brews availble year round are sub-par.

Pretty amber body, medium head receding quickly, sweet malty nose, good lacing. This one doesn’t work for me: the flavors are too thin and it has an unpleasant underlying bitterness that just doesn’t fit.

Great amber color with nice carbonation and excellent head. Great malty smooth aroma with some tettnanger? Great smooth and full mouthfeel. Lots of flavors - mostly malts- caravienne, caramunich especially and crystal too. Lots of malty sweet flavor balanced by hops, that make it one of the better octoberfests I’ve had.
