Copper color, medium lasting head. Malty, slightly spicy aroma and flavor. Some hops, but becomes a little too sweet as it warms.

Deep amber in color, pleasing malty aroma, toasted malt flavor throughout, with a nice crisp finish. A memorable beer.

This brew pours a clear medium red/brown hue with a large off white creamy head of minimal lacing that is mostly lasting. The nose is complex with moderate malty tones that has a hint of grain and molasses, light hoppy tones with hints of resin, and moderate earthy doughy yeast tones. I also detected aromas of cask wood, and a strong alcoholic odor especially as the beer warmed. The flavor is also complex. Initially it is lightly sweet with a sour alcohol middle and an average finish that is both salty and moderately bitter with additions of cask wood and again alcoholic properties. The brew’s palate is complex as well. The body is medium and the texture finds a way to be dry, watery, and oily at the same time. The soft carbonation is a plus with a metallic and alcoholic mouthfeel to the finish.

Fairly decent. Nice amber color. Smells better than it tastes.

classic definative, benchmark robust lager beer (that’s not redundant is it?) an all-night blissfull swilling libation that renders philosophic quandaries suddenly lucid, mediocre company becomes magically scintilating, and, uh, so on. great foam, fireside golden orange warmth, buttered toast and caramel aroma. delightful palate, perfect medium sweetness. unchanged for generations, we must consider this beverage close to perfection, tho i did arrive at that conclusion on my own, independent of any pressummed approbation of any wizened, sagacious bavarian master brewers. i give it the full four belches.

Fruity, a little nutty, nice tasting hops. Good head, okay finish. Overall a decent beer but doesn’t quite live up to the hype.

White creamy head over a light amber colored beer. Roasted malty aroma. Malty sweet and roasted flavor lightly hopped for balance.

The commercial description is about dead on. Great appearance, taste, and palate.
