3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pleasant brown to dark blonde appearance makes it a beer you want to drink.First impressions are of sweet malts with a hint of citrus. After a while you realise that your instinctive liking for this beer was right-one to linger and love.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 Very nice aroma! It is mild and non-offensive. It pours a nice head of fine to large bubbles with a brown/amber very clear body with no yeast floating in it. As the head decreased, it left a nice lacing around the side of my glass. It has an initial taste of bubbly carbonation on the tip of my tongue. It has a slight aftertaste which is mostly mild. All in all I really enjoyed the brew. I could drink it all night. It is an extremely nice beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2015 Tasted blind: This is tastes like it is not so fresh but is still prety decent. It’s lighter in color w/ a sort of pilsener-ish hop character. Some oxidation keeps it from really shining but that is imported German beer for you.
Original (4.1):Pleasant orange amber. Huge head with appetizing lacing. The bottle says "ale" but I’ll be damned if this ain’t a lager like every other Marzen on the face of God’s green earth. Fresh, malty, tutti-fruity bubblegum aroma. Rich, thick palate is perfectly matched with carmelized malt sweetness. Some apple/fruity notes as weel. A kiss of hops in the finsih rounds things out nicely. Smooth, well-balanced, and delicious.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Deep brown color with a white head. Aroma was malty, very sweet. Flavor started sweet got sweeter then relaxed back into the original sweetness. No real hops flavor noticable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark golden to amber color with a tan head. An aromatic toasted malt aroma with a full malt flavor. Typical marzen but lacks a spice of oktoberfest.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber colour, the head is quite thin and creamy. Sweet maltness in the aroma, very delicate, with hints of corn. Pleasant malty flavour, light and fresh, with a moderate sweetness. Sweet even the aftertaste with just an hoppy touch. Pleasant and drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark copper color with a thin , short-lived head. Crystal malts flavor with a bit too much of the bittering hops, slightly unbalanced but not bad. A good buy at $3.25 for a sixer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2010 Nice amber color and generous off white head start this one. The aroma is nice, as well, with sweet notes. The flavor is very light, slightly sweet, and somewhat crisp. This is a refreshing beer, in my opinion, and is HIGHLY drinkable. A nice beer.
EDIT: I should also note that as the beer warms a light hoppiness comes through, adding some depth to the flavor and balancing the sweeter caramel and malt flavors.

Light copper color. Flavor is bitter with slight sweetness. Good white head that lasts to the end. Nice lace. Full mouth feel. Extremely bitter long lasting aftertaste.
