Typical Oktoberfest beer appearance. As with most Oktoberfest beers, aroma and flavor resemble that of a doppelbock but lighter. In fact, this stuff is much less sweet and malty than the typical Oktoberfest beer (such as Spaten). Quite hoppy and pleasant.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Lighter aroma of toast and light grass. Also lighter flavor of bread, malt, and slight grass. Third best of a four german oktoberfest beers blind tasted.

Nate (3727) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 15, 2014
On tap at the Coney. Clean aroma, malty with some biscuit. Light neutral fruit and mild hop character. Coppery amber clear with off white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately malty with light biscuit and nice level of noble hops. Clean sweet finish with smooth nutty after. Clean and refreshing.

Bottle Dark amber color with small white foamy head, caramel like aroma, high carbonation, slightly sweet roasted malt taste, longish finish, smoky aftertaste. Nice brew.

I was expecting it to be a lot better. Pale orange color. Nice biscuits baking aroma. Has a very light mouthful, and very watery. Slightly sweet, with a slight malty taste. Just a bit disappointing.

On tap at BWW. Hazy dark amber pour. Thick head. Very little aroma. Slight bite to the taste, a little bitter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark amber brown with a finger of head. Nose is distinct german style lager yeast, nutty, a touch metallic, brown sugar, dark malts. Taste matches nose, Marzen lager yeast, very nutty, bready, decent body. Overall I like it, but it's not up there with the best in the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at BBC. Pours copper brown with an off white head. Aroma is wet cracker, slight fruit esters. Taste starts dry and cereal then adds some caramel sweetness and some fruit, finishes with a slight lemon bitterness.

12oz Bottle poured into a pint glass. Slightly floral and smoky. Poured as a hazy red. The head dissipated in about 45 seconds. A little sour and not quite like any Oktoberfest I have had before. Very light on the palate and fortunately the taste quickly disappears. Might be ok to boil Brats’ in.

Bottle pour hazy amber with little hop profile and a malty backbone finishing a little bitter. Overall, just an okay example of the style.
