The aroma of this beer is similar to a mixture of freshly split oak, fruit cake, prunes, and caramel. It is amber in color with only traces of a white head. This thin beer has a taste of caramel and fruit. The biscuity aftertaste lingers decently.

Pours amber gold with a small head. Smells of some kind of cereal, bread and some apple pear fruits. Tastes almost exactly as it smells. Medium but smooth mouthfeel. Overall? It was actually quite good.

Had a case of this over the fall months, just found my notes. Pours amber-gold with an off-white head. Aromas of toast, white bread, earthy cereal, honey sweetness, very soft mild fruity esters (apple/pear-ish), lager yeast. Taste is toast, cereal, low-medium bitterness, lager yeast, slight almond, floral (wildflower honey?), maybe some slight oxidation, but clean. A little sweet up front, then drier in the finish. Medium body, medium-full carb, smooth, a bit prickly, finishes dry. Overall a lot of toast, soft, round, and malty.

Tap@drinkbaar. Red amber clear. Malty, bit huskey strawy autumnal herby, bready, dry syrupy nose. Med bodied, malty, caramelly, dry flavour. Clean, nice, slight herby finish. Nice allaround drinker.

I thought this was kind of disappointing. It was mildly sweet and pretty bland at the finish. Unexciting.

One of my favorites of the style, this pours clear copper with thin, clinging white top. Aromas of caramel and fresh bread, with the slightest early hop. Flavors are semi-sweet caramel, honey, and malt.

Very nice oktoberfest beer, golden and sweet light body and hops, but prominent smokier cereal notes, adds the right balance.

11.2 ounce bottle, best before 05/16, labeled as Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen. Served in a mug, the beer pours a clear orange/copper color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like bready/grainy malt, toffee, herbal/spicy hops, toffee and some general fruitiness. For the most part I think the taste is just like the aroma, but there’s also a bit of nuttiness noticeable. Seemed more sweeter and maltier than I expected, but in a good way. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was good, I know I’d like to pick this one up again as it’s an enjoyable Märzen/Oktoberfest brew!
