The aroma of this beer is similar to a mixture of freshly split oak, fruit cake, prunes, and caramel. It is amber in color with only traces of a white head. This thin beer has a taste of caramel and fruit. The biscuity aftertaste lingers decently.

On draft. Cooper/amber color with thin white head. Malt and caramel aroma. Very smooth taste of malt. Very nice

Alengrin (1380) - BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2014
Classic, if not archetypical Oktoberfestbier, with off-white, medium thick but not very stable head and deep orangey amber colour. Malty aroma, bit bready, hints of caramel and nuts, biscuit; taste of nutty malts, soft with restrained sweetness, brief hop bitterness in the finish, bit thin. Straightforward, but I can imagine myself drinking this in large quantities at the Oktoberfest.

Pours a clear orange light golden with a thin white head. Aromas of biscuit, toast, cellar, some mild grassy notes, and slight caramel sweetness. Flavors are clean and simple with some toastiness and a bit of sweet caramel malt and basically no hop profile. Mouthfeel is med- and slightly watery.

Drank from the bottle. Not much of an aroma, but I don’t know if the bottle affected that. Flavor is sweet caramel malt. Really tasty.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2014 Malty golden fall beer with a gentle sweetness and mild bitterness. One of the prettiest looking beers out there.

From 2 11.2 oz bottles, poured into a dimpled mug; o, my goodness gracious, a most drinkable beer, this. Prost!!! Forgot to mention the nifty label on the bottle. A great pic of beautiful bier garden maidens, marching (no doubt towards the thirsty hordes) with steins, money bags and smiles. Again, Prost!!!

12 oz bottle into a mug. Pours a dark clear amber, with a moderate head which quickly fades into a disc on the surface. Nose is dark malt and caramel, with bread notes. Taste follows the nose, and is predominantly of medium roast malt with a touch of sweetness. the finish is short, with a hint of hop astringency. A very enjoyable session Oktoberfest.

Dark gold to copper pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is is loaded with toast, cereal and bread, along with some floral and light spicy hops. Flavor is very cereal heavy up front, then some biscuit, a little caramel, and floral and planty hops. Light to medium body, medium carbonation and neutral to slightly chewy feel.
