COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Original Münchner Urtyp is another Münchner Original, a traditional tasty pleasure. A bit stronger and darker than the Original Münchner it has a convincingly noble malt aroma with a well-rounded bitter taste. In order to survive long transportation, it used to be brewed with a higher content of basic ingredients. Today this strong export beer is particularly popular at many of the public fairs from spring until autumn.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks avrashi. Clear pale gold and headless. Cardboard sweetness and a little grassy aroma, sweet and watery taste, then light bitterness. Very light body, soft fizz, bitter finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks avrashi. As Paulaner Münchner Urtyp. Clear golden. Aroma of grains, malt, grass. Sweetish flavor with malt, graininess, a faint cardboard hint, and a bitterish grassy/herbal finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Flaske 0,5 liter, smagt sommeren 2015, er meget lys i farven, skummet er også hvidt og ligger i noget tid, hvad den mangler i aroma har den i smag som der ligger lidt over middel.

Clear dark yellow, frothy lacing white foam head. Barley aroma and taste, bit crisp in mouth. Not bad, not outstanding. Good beer. (Velp 201502)

A pale gold coloured beer with a frothy white head. A strong malt aroma with elements of red fruit and a hint of bread. Dry mouthfeel. The taste leads with a smooth malt flavour, and a touch bready. This is followed by a sharp fruity bitterness that adds a refreshing finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: grain and bread malts. Appearance: clear gold, medium, creamy, white head. Taste: light bitter and sweet. Palate: initial sweets persist, intense grain, bread, light carbonation, quite short duration, quite bitter. Overall: OK Helles, refreshing taste, but quite boring style. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.
