Commercial Description:
The Original Münchner Urtyp is another Münchner Original, a traditional tasty pleasure. A bit stronger and darker than the Original Münchner it has a convincingly noble malt aroma with a well-rounded bitter taste. In order to survive long transportation, it used to be brewed with a higher content of basic ingredients. Today this strong export beer is particularly popular at many of the public fairs from spring until autumn.

Bottled. A yellow beer with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy - but very light, which is a drawback to me. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry and slighlty grassy finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a nice, white head. Lightly malty nose. Medium body with a lightly sweet malt character and a subdued finish. Very clean but unspectacular. 160806

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golde yellow with a slowly collapsing chalk white head. Aroma is crisp bitterhops and light fruity. Light breadish malty flavour. Mild bitterness. Mild spiced too. Ends medium dry and bitter.

Bottle. Bready aroma. Golden colour, small stable white head. Slightly malty and sour flavour. Citric aftertaste. Not much aroma hops. Good mouthfeel, but boring flavour.

Straw with a decent head. The aroma is hoppy and the flavour is mild, slightly sweet with notes of fruit. the finish is slightly bitter. Harmless and inoffensive.
